The room I got was in their East Wing. It was horrible. Right from the dingy elevator, smelly floors, I could even smell paint all the way, the room was horrible, they really need to upgrade. There was a piece of hair in the kettle. I would never in my life stay at a Dusit property after this experience.

| "We have stayed in the hotel before. This time we were in the old section. While the room was comfortable, it was not as new or sleek as the rooms in the new section. It was a little bit of a letdown to be in the old section (and at the back with bad view) however in all other respects we like this hotel. The service is good and we like the location. The facilities are good. Staff are most helpful and friendly. We would stay at the Dusit Thani again." |

| "This hotel is a must for travellers who love tradition and 5 star service. Being the first hotel in Bangkok with its own pool built in 1969 its halls are filled with fascinating photos of royalty and famous persons who have graced its walls. The reception staff are very friendly and efficient and my check-in was without problems or time wasting. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and spacious. The bathroom is also large but needs some modernization i.e. no bidet and the shower set up in the bath needs to be re-designed as the head was too low to stand under. House keeping is very efficient. I have a feather allergy and they came and replaced the down pillows within 5 minutes of my call. The Pool area and surrounding gardens are a delight for relaxing after a hard day of touring. The facilities including lounges, bars, and restaurants are numerous and there is something for everyone. The deli shop on the lower floor is the best I have seen outside Europe and the sandwiches, cakes, chocolates and other delights are a must to try. The location is excellent being opposite Lumphini Park with the Suan Lum Night Bazaar and Silom Street with its night street market and entertainment within walking distance. No need to take taxis. All in all this hotel was excellent value for the price and I will certainly return for another stay " |

| "Stayed 3 nights from 25-28 Sep.Read some negative reviews about how old the rooms are.But was absolutely impressed with the room I stayed. The building is old but it still has the charm. Holidaying once in 3 months in Bangkok, have stayed in many hotels, Dusit Thani is one of the best. Asia rooms has the lowest rate for Dusit Thani, compared to other site that I always.Young Singaporeans couple, stay here for your romantic trip, worth every single cent!!" |

| "The Dusit Thani offers superb accomodation, however we did stay in the Heritage Suite, which surpassed what we expected, it was fabulous, with subtle Thai accents in the room. Upgrading proved to be a good choice, we stayed for a total of 6 days and could not fault the Hotel, right from entering the Hotel, we were indulged with excellent service from the Hotel. The benefits associated with our accomodation included Club Benefits, which were delightful, definetely well worth the few extra dollars for a better room, the restaurants within the Hotel are excellent also, we shall from now on continue to stay at Dusit Thani for our next visit. Also dealing with Asia Rooms was very easy, booking through the internet, with confirmation on the same day, and at such a saving, I will also use Asia Rooms for all my overseas accomodation in future, the only problem I found with Asia Rooms was upgrading our accomodation which was booked with them proved to be a tad difficult, but with a minor penalty of $10 it certainly was worth it overall. | "A fantastic hotel. Was the second time we've stayed there and we haven't been disappointed yet. Don't forget to use your free welcome drink vouchers at the D'Sens bar up the top - the view is gorgeous. As well as being right next to the Sala Daeng SkyTrain station, you are also only a very short walk away (i.e. 3 mins) from the Silom night market and Pat Pong. When compared to the Pathumwan Princess, I would rate this hotel higher in terms of service and room comforts and luxury." |
