I enjoyed Grand Sukhumvit by Sofitel. I had booked 2 rooms through asia rooms and ensured that they both must be next to each other as I needed to look after my mum who needed to be next to my room. Also was told in my confirmation that my husband and my room will have a king bed. However when we got to the reception to check in we were advised that the rooms had two single beds as we have booked the cheaper one. We were not aware of this prior to this. They also couldnt find another room for my mum next to my room. As a result the hotel upgraded my room at no extra cost and ensured I got what I had booked. We really appreciated this, however it took a long time talking with the reception and explaning. I just hope no one goes through this again on their first night.
The hotel staff and service was excellent.

| "No problems staying at this wonderfull hotel, everything perfect, breakfasts very good, only gripe was no seperate shower in bathroom, [silver room] although we were aware of this at time of booking. Staff all friendly and efficent, I even managed to negotiate a later check out time at no cost. minutes from skytrain if you are walking and 7-11 store only yards away, set back from Sukhumvit Road but no problems walking back late at night. free hotel tuk tuk if you dont want to walk, pool good but water slightly cold [but refreshing] The hotel is fine I would recomend it." |
