Hard to communicate with them as they dont understand english that well, especially when want to request for any things.
One of the bell boy give a unhappy look when we ask to carry our things down to the lobby when checking out, even though we give the bell boy tip.

| "the location is good, close enough to the skytrain
despite the fact that the hotel is close to the mainroad the sound can't be heard.
too bad the hotel is old and the carpet is worn out.
you can see the age when you look in the corridors and rooms.
the hotel could use a good renovation.
the staff is friendly except for the bellboy. he wasn't really happy to help us with getting the luggage upstairs.
breakfast can be much better, after 9am it seems that the when the food is finished, it stays finished, till the next day.

| "I've been in this hotel since nearly two decades. So it seems that it's been the best choice since a long time.
However I am now looking for another hotel. The staff is friendly in an easy way, I like the place. What I dislike is that the Management of the hotel now offers wireless internet, but does not offer one-day or one-week subscriptions.
I buy 90 Minutes of internet connection for 200 Baht now. That is a daily salary here for a worker. So, today, for example, I used 600 Baht of internet, for only four and a half hours. It will be much more at the end of the day.
Besides the price, I've got the hassle. Logging in and out all the time, buying new tickets. I wrote a mail to the management (two weeks ago...) that the price is out of proportion, and believe me, I know what are justified prices here. This is robbery. I suggested them to offer a daily or weekly subscription at a reasonable price, yet, I have not seen any response or reaction so far. Seems that the feedback of a customer does not interest the GM. Unfriendly again. Not only is the price that internet is offered unfriendly, but also that there is no reaction to a request.
At the reception there is no responsible person to be reached personally. They all refer to someone's decision who cannot be seen. The Manager or Owner of the place who wants this can not be spoken to.
The staff is friendly, but the GM seems to be unfriendly and wants to make a fast profit with this new trend. I don't accept this and will stay away from this hotel as long as I see this unfriendliness from the direction. And I invite everybody to boycott the hotel until the Manager gives in in his black-mail.
If I cross the road, I am in a super stylish hotel, the S 15, that offers internet for free. Altogether it offers more comfort, for a higher price, but internet included. Finally that is the better choice for surfers. It seems more expensive than the Manhattan at first look, but it is of a much higher standard ... and offers internet which rips you off here. Finally the cheaper version. Such as often: Not to look at the booking price, but what is given to you. I know for myself that the internet dictatorshop at the Manhattan now makes me feel uneasy. Rather pay a bit more and not have this hassle witht internet tickes.
Well ... I guess ... this mail cost me exactly 100 Baht once again.

| "The most recommended is the location, it's near the BTS NANA station. Room is not big so much, and a little dim. Bathroom is just ordinary, we saw many little cockroaches anywhere, even when I ready to go to bed, so we keep awake all the night!~~~~ :(
But the staff is nice, helpful and politely, although we dont like this holtel.
If you want to live near BTS, maybe there are many others for your choice." |
