"This is my own opinion and it may differ greatly from other guests's. I enjoyed my stay @ the Maruay Garden Hotel, Staff were pleasant enough and in particular the ones in the restaurant, Breakfast was good enough. As far as describing my stay @ the hotel is concerned, I had no hot water in some mornings between 10am - 2pm for about 5-6 days out of 17 days, but this is only a minor problem concidering Bangkok's warm enough for a cold shower but not for me as I had just come from a cold Sydney weather. They could desperately do with a few more English speaking TV channels as they currently only have BBC World news and one Star Movies channel as the sole English channels x2. If you want to go shopping you need to catch a bus, taxi and or a mini van to get there as it is a 50 mins to an hour's walk away."

"Who wants a clean hotel, isn"t right here "

"Maruay Garden Hotel's location was convenient for me. It is situated off a large busy road in a nice Thai neighbourhood. Plenty of restaurants and food vendors, but no English. The nearest sky train is Mo Chit, about 10 minutes away by taxi. Had a double non-smoking room. The room is medium sized and quite comfortable. The furnishings are getting old and the place needs painting and new carpet but overall the place is very clean. Nice, clean pool and fitness centre on the 3 rd level. Buffet breakfast is often cold but quite nice. Most of the hotel staff have very limited English but are very helpful. I would be happy to stay there again."

"Quite decent, clean. Location is good if you are flying in or out of Don Muang airport. It's also near Chatuchak market. Not so convenient for other parts of Bangkok. Overall not a bad hotel."

"This place is run down and dirty. It felt like staying in an abandoned building that was set to be demolished. The hallways are covered with a layer of filth. The elevators are ancient and shake when going up and down. There were bugs in the kitchen, but the bedroom was worse. The mattress was so old that the springs were sticking up in the middle. And the sheets were threadbare and dirty -- and made of a nice poly-cotton blend. I opted to sleep on the sofa, which was slightly less disgusting. It's also in the middle of the red-light ditrict, which I guess was fitting. I would never even think about staying here ever again. Horrible."

"Room bit old fashioned and in need of maintenance but overall comfortable and good value with lovely pool and useful fitness centre."

"It is a good place to stay if you have a something to do in the north part of Bangkok. I have one request: let us use the Internet connection free of charge. The rate of 100 Bhats per every thirty minutes is too expensive for me. Will I stay again here? Yes, I will."
4/5  Posted by MR. MELZER, Frank, Germany in December 2007
"Good value for the money, but not as close too don Muang as I thought from the description. It is not a 10 but a 20-30 minute Taxi drive!"
4/5  Posted by MR. MIMOUN, Serge, Australia in July 2007
"Room a bit small for a family but good location and big swimming pool. We also appreciated the Gym. The dinner buffet was good, affordable and the waiteress were very nice. Will we come again? Maybe but I would prefer something more exotic. This hotel is good not with nothing 'Thai' except the food...and the smile of the staff. "

"The breakfast was pretty good. I don't think there is a lot to see or do in the vicinity. I picked the hotel because it is reasonably priced and reasonably priced close to Don Muang airport."
