| "the staff is very nice but there is a biggggg room for improvement for their service.
we find a cockroach in one of the bedrooms and the kitchen is not very clean. while we stayed, the electricity was gone for a short period of time. the most annoying thing is : our friend did not receive the postcards which we sent in bkk thro' the hotel.
the hotel received a very high service charge but do not do their job well. it is not acceptable and is unbelivable to be happened in this so called 5-starred hotel." |

| "When I booked the room on the Internet, I requested for a room on HIGHER FLOOR and NON-SMOKING. However, on arrival, the room assigned was Room No. 402 (very low floor (4/F.)). When entering the room, I smelt very STRONG SMOKING odour. I believed that the previous resident was a smoking person. Upon my request, a staff came to our room and sprayed some cleaning water to remove the SMOKING odour.
After I and my friends stayed for a while and had the shower, the electricity was gone. The technician from the hotel came and said impolitely that my friends had touched the master switch and main circuit. Of course, we could not do it since we did not know where the master switch and main circuit was.
After checking the master switch, the technician pulled up the switch and turned it on. Then, being shocked, an electricity explosion in front of the technician occured. Luckily the technician was still alive. The residents at the rooms next to ours ran out and saw what had happened.
Then, we requested to move up and then stayed at Room No. 802. Although the counter staff said it was a SMOKING room, we found that NO SMOKING ODOUR was smelt. However, no food (like noodles) was provided in the kitchen (We had those food in Room No. 402). We believed the previous resident just moved and so NOT ENOUGH CLEANING was done on this room. Anyway, we stayed at this room for the rest of our journey.
In this regard, I thought that the following facilities and services must be improved:
(a) Pay attention to the requests of the resident (e.g. Higher-Level Floor and Non-Smoking Room)and do satisfy them at your very best effort.
(b) Don't blame on the resident (as a customer) before checking the master switch/main circuit. Be respect to the resident.
(c) Improve the electricity supply to ensure that it is sufficent for the working of all electrical appliances WITHOUT EXPLOSION OR ELECTRICTY SHORTAGE.
(d) DO all the cleaning stuff before asking the resident to move in.
(e) Provide Internet access services WITHOUT CHARGES in each room. We do not want to go up to the pool just for the Internet access. The charge of 600 Baht for each day of Internet access in each room was TOO EXPENSIVE.
On the other hand, the service of providing the van to airport is VERY GOOD. In addition, the staff moved our luggages from the room to the lobby and then from the lobby to the van were very kind with a smiling face. Thank for your their service. The pool is also excellent." |

| "Our second stay at the Marriott Mayfair and it did not disappoint. We chose to stay in a two bedroom apartment on this occasion and found it spacious, luxurious and clean as a whistle.
The beds are about the comfiest i've slept on in any of the best hotels in Thailand. Staff are friendly, professional and efficient. All in all, a truely five star experience not to be missed and certainly one to be repeated." |

| "The Mayfair Marriott Apartments were perfect for us. We were a group of 6 ladies travelling from KL for a shopping/girls weekend. We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom apartments. The apartment was spacious, clean beautifully furnished and perfect for the 6 of us,5 star. We had exceptional value for money which included breakfast for 6. The staff were very friendly and more than helpful. They booked our river tour and dinner arrangements. The hotel also has a fnatastic Skybar. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone, especially groups travelling together and families." |

| "Some of the best accomodation we have stayed at in Bangkok and we have visited many of the top 5* hotels.
If there is one criticism I could make it is that the buffet breakfast is not quite up to the standards laid on by some hotels, but this is a very minor consideration compared to the great rooms offered by the Mayfair Marriot.
For the price, it is a real bargain!
Recommended highly." |
