| "After staying at the Metropolitan when it opened a few times, I realized that, after the hype of the first real design hotel opening, it was just that- a design hotel but with really, really bad service in certain parts of the hotel- so I started staying elsewhere again. after 3 years of not going there and suddenly had to go to Bangkok, checked asiarooms.com and found a great rate so thought I'd give the Metropolitan a try again. Basically, its still the same. Housekeeping, pool staff and some of the front desk are great. Friendly as all get out. Guys at the front door can't be bothered. Guest services on the phone border on rude.
Its really too bad that a place with such possible longevity crashed so fast. So, if you expect top-notch, friendly but reserved service at a hotel in Bangkok, do not stay here. If you just want a good looking room, go for it as thats all you'll get here." |

| "Excellent hotel, my girlfriend and I would stay here again. Modern decor, great service and a brilliant swimming pool. One of their restaurants serves only organic food which is a nice option. " |

| "the new school of minimalist hotels - by that I mean the reception area is stark and uncluttered except for a great flower arrangement, and everything is streamlined. Staff wear smart designer uniforms. Service excellent, and the food in both the bar and the restaurant was very good. Cocktails well made and well priced. Great swimming pool, and gym/ spa/ beauty facilities. Highly recommended. " |

| "The service at the Metropolitan was excellent. Our original booking was for a City Room. According to other reviews, the City Rooms are nice and well furnished but pretty small. When the scheduled airport pick-up failed, the Met upgraded us to a suite. If the City Rooms are small, the suite was anything but. It was large and beautiful; truly luxurious. The staff also helped us deal with our airline and tirelessly gave advice on sights and destinations all over the city.
The breakfast buffet is excellent. The pool is wonderful and the gym facilities are terrific.
I highly recommend staying at the Metropolitan Bangkok if you're looking for a very stylish, very customer oriented hotel.
The location is close to a Skytrain station, so reaching other areas of Bangkok is easy. It is also a short walk from the Thai boxing arena at Lumphini Park." |

| "Great Design Hotel.
Sleek, sober and spacious rooms.
Quite, clean and comfortable.
Good restaurants,interesting organic option (GLOW)
Location is slightly out centered (SATHORN neighborood) for temple and Chintaown visits but it is a lively neighborood ( Convent Road) with restaurants, bars ans malls. Sky train station nearby allows easy transportation.
Very satisfied overall." |
