| "We decide to stay in Queen's Garden Resort because of its proximity to the airport, especially since we had to wake up at 4am the next day for an early flight.
Room: Not the best but not the worst I've stayed at. The bathroom seems to be an addition to the room. I had a nice view of the building next door. Unfortunately, I could hear people outside shouting. We also had some ants parading through the room. The AC is nice and cool but as soon as you step out of your room, you are attacked by awaiting mosquitoes. If you are wanting for a clean bed to sleep in the night before your early trip out, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, find somewhere else.
Location: Except for its proximity to the airport, there is not much going for it. A couple blocks toward the main road, there is a 7-Eleven and a few places to eat. We checked in in the afternoon, so we did not want to just sit in the hotel room. We caught a taxi to Siam Seacon. It was about a 20 minute trip. I would definitely recommend taking a taxi somewhere, because the hotel and the neighborhood offers little in the way of entertainment.
Attractions: There is a Wat right across the water (canal I think?) They have one of those paddle boats for rental for like 100 baht per hour. We decided to take the kids to feed the fish. We bought bread for 20 baht (donation to the Wat) and threw pieces into the water (which we thought did not have any fish). As soon as we did, about 10,000 catfish the size of large dogs surfaced and began fighting for the food and splashing water. We became absolutely drenched. there was no way I was going to use the paddleboat. Too afraid the fish would attack us :o) They have spa services (massage) but we didn't bother.
Other: Make sure you exchange your money at the airport. The hotel rate was 28 baht per $US. Highway robbery. If you are a light sleeper, then this place is NOT for you. You can very much hear airplanes landing and taking off. Sounds like you are actually on the tarmac.
Summary: Don't stay here unless you have to...." |

| "I do not have any special comments on this hotel to make. I chose it because we wanted a hotel close to the airport to overnight before catching a flight to Singapore the next day. We did not expect a deluxe hotel and did not get one.
On the plus side I found the free transportation to and from the airport to be a very welcome feature.
On the minus side the environment in which the hotel is located is a bit rough to say the least. And during the night there was a commotion apparently between a hotel guest and a visitor and the hotel management did not seem to have done anything to stop it.

| "This hotel is ideal for an overnight stay when changing planes at BKK airport. The airport pickup and drop worked well (free from the airport, 150 per room back to the airport). Nice breakfast, nice location on the river. Few minutes walk from the 7-11 and some street food available in the area for those that like it." |

| "Since we expected to arrive at the airport past midnight, and we wanted to travel to Pattaya early in the morning, we needed a hotel that was just a few minutes away from the airport. Although the hotel was indeed very near the airport, we had problems with the metered taxis we got since they acted as if they did not know where the hotel was. The receptionist at the taxi counter wrote the exact address of the hotel, but they still managed to make a 5 minute ride to 15 minutes.
When we got to the hotel, it took some time for the hotel receptionist to check us in, and even suggested for us to pay for additional beds for the kids. We informed them that we'll only be staying for at most 4 hours so there was no need to charge us extra since kids are usually allowed to stay for free in most hotels. The rooms were really small, so I wondered where they would place the extra beds just in case we agreed. It was also hard to find the bathroom, since the door was covered with curtains. There was hot water, and they provided some toiletries. However, you still needed to get out of the bathroom to get the towels. We had breakfast at around 7 am, and the restaurant staff were nice (as compared to the hotel receptionist). The breakfast was OK, although there was not much selection, and the van that would take us to Pattaya soon arrived." |

| "It really is only good for a stop over between flights, I really wouldn't recommend it for anything other than that. We had no real problems with it, all the service and cleanliness is exceptable. The air conditioning can be a bit strong (the one in our room was broken). The bathroom is of the cheaper thai standard of the hose-shower over toilet, not the best, but survised. Loads of stairs so if possible ask for a lower floor. Also mind the curtain-less room attaching bathroom to bedroom, as you can see in from the street. On the good side the river is lovely in an urban way, you can feed the masses of large catfish with some bread to pass the time before the shuttle back to the airport." |
