| "Excellent hotel, was a little concerned before we travelled about the hotel, was extremely happy with our choice. It cost £1.50 in a taxi to get into the main, busy and expensive part of Bangkok, " |

| "I've stayed at the Royal city once before, that was because my G/Fried works close by . The rooms are not very quite due to the walls not being of double brick so therefore you can hear next door's TV, late night conversations, people arguing etc . I've stayed at better & cheaper hotels in & around BKK But like I mentioned I only stay at the Royal city for the convenience of being close to G/Friend's work . In my opinion it is overpriced !!!" |

| "This is quite a grand old-style hotel. Crystal chandaliers, lots of marble, bevelled edge mirrors, high ceilings, flowers, good hardwood furniture etc. Like a 4-5 star London hotel. Very spacious & comfortable rooms.
However the restaurant (the one where where breakfast is also served)is far too over air conditioned. It is freezing in there. Very uncomfortable. We went in for an evening meal and were the only ones in there - it was like a morgue. We asked the ridiculously snooty head waiter to turn down the A/C and he reluctantly did... until about 3/4 through our meal when it suddenly got freezing again. When he asked if we wanted dessert we said we'd love some but had to decline because it was too damn cold to stay and eat it!
There is not much immediately around this hotel, but it is in easy reach of The Grand Palace (why we stayed there) and not far from Kho San Road.
I would stay there again if visiting the Grand Palace." |

| "We used this hotel only as a place to sleep so I cannot comment on the restaurant or bar, but the bedroom and bathroom was excellent being of a good size and clean. The only downside with the bathroom was that the water in the shower alternated between too hot and too cold, and was difficult to maintain a constant temperature. We were located on the 19th floor and the view of the city from our bedroom window was superb.
For those who want a city centre location then this hotel is not for you. A taxi into say Sukhumvit or Silom took between 20 and 40 minutes and cost about 130 baht. This was no problem for us but it may be inconvenient for some.
I would definately stay at this hotel again, and I am in fact in the process of booking my next trip to Bangkok for march 2008, and will once again be using this hotel." |

| "The Royal City Hotel Bangkok has a good relation between price and what you get. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the places of interest in the center of Bangkok by taxi. The hotel ist well located at the Southern Bus Terminal Sai Tai Mai - attention: There ist a new southern bus terminal (at a different place) under construction which will replace the current southern bus terminal. The breakfast buffet is OK and has both asian and european components. The staff was mostly helpful. I had to ask for a laundry bag that was not in my room although it should have been (in accordance with the reception). The chambermaid (?) that I asked (she was in uniform at the desk in front of the lift in my storey) told me that she was not in duty and wanted only to smoke and smalltalk with her girlfriend (what she did). 5 minutes after asking at the reception I had the bag by another chambermaid." |

| "overall only satisfactory. Except that we requested for a triple sharing room through internet booking which showed that the hotel has triple sharing room but was only given an extra bed which was too small for an adult.
Preferably rooms to have satelite channel and more international programmes. Most programmes are in Thai language which is inconvenience for foreign visitors.
Hopefully during our next visit we can see some changes." |

| "I enjoyed my stay at Royal City. The staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcomed. The location was close enough to street vendors, movie theatre, department stores, and it was convenient to take bus, tuk tuk, taxi or walk to other locations. The only problem i had was the shower head kept falling off and the TV was not a satelitte television as I was told. Overall, I was happy with the price and they stay and I would stay here again." |
