| "Shanghai Inn was, for us, a very luxurious hotel. Nice rooms. Excellent breakfast and very nice and helpfull staff. (Some staffmembers had difficulties in speaking/understanding English, but with patience we managed). A little bit on the top-level of our daily hotel budget, but worthwhile." |

| "The hotel was very welcoming and friendly. Service was excellent, breakfast was good - plenty of choice, nice food.Decor was bright and colourful. Room was quiet despite being in the middle of Chinatown. The foot massage within the hotel was also very good value. I have no complaints at all.
However, to be realistic I am not likely to stay here again because I was dissappointed in Bangkok. I found the city dirty, smelly, overcrowded and the relentless pressure to buy was tiresome." |

| "It was a great place to stay loved the room really different. DONT get a massage they are really bad and not worth the money there was 3 of us and we all got one and they were all really bad. But hotel itself is great you should try it." |

| "This hotel is a little hard to find. The key thing is to start looking at the start of Yaowarat - up near the China Gate/Odeon Circle - then come down and look for it on your right side. You'll find it just after the first four way intersection. The Shanghai Inn has a fanciful and cheery Asian style and the rooms are quite fun. One is amazed so many different colors can work so well together. It's quite new and clean and not a bad value for the price and is definitely one of the nicest places to stay in Chinatown and very centrally located. I believe it had free internet. The bathrooms were nice and the showers were a good size. I didn't love the slat shower floor - after a few minutes it became uncomfortable for the feet. At night the street just outside the hotel turns into a lively seafood dining area. Overall this hotel is one of your best bets in Chinatown." |
