"This hotel is basically on the corner of Silom Road and Charoen Krung in the Bangrak area fo Bangkok. It's a very short walk to the Oriental Pier commuter boat stop #3, and a slightly longer walk up silom road to the night markets and nightlife. Great location, no frills, but friendly front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff. It's also convenient to the terminus of the sky train. The rooms are adequate and well appointed. The bed was a bit firm, and the toilet made a 'moaning' noise after flushing, but... nothing that would stop me from staying there again. Wireless internet for a small additional charge in the room. Great place. "

"Our room was very small, we wished to change for one suite, but the price was the double and the size was't. Last year we had a wonderful suite with internet on the TV for 90 US$ (Old Bangkok inn), this year we wished to discover another small hotel and were very disapointed. It was impossible to use the business room during the morning, because the manager was't there. The breakfast was boring, low quality, not any asian food at all. The visits proposed are extremely expensive, for exemple : Jim Thomson's house at 05 mn by taxi (20 bath)the entry 100 or 200 bth was proposed at 1450 bath per person. 1000 bth = US $ 33 !! I can recommend a guide speaking fluently French and English who drives you and going with you anywhere, a real professional and you will pay US $ 100 a day only not including the prices of the museums. You could be 4 in his car. His name CHAI"

"The Silk Suite is a small, boutique type hotel with excellent personal service. The staff new us by name and went out of their way on several occasions to meet our needs. No swimming pool or recreational facilities, could be a deterrent to some people."
