I have stayed at the Imperial Mae Ping in the past but found on this stay that the hotel has cut the service and maintenance at the hotel since my last stay three years ago. The hotel interior needs painting and updating and the staff was not as accomodating and friendly as last time. The hotel has eliminated doormen at the lobby. On my next stay I would stay 100 feet away at the Duangtawan Hotel. That hotel has comparable prices, a much newer look, better food prices, and much friendlier service. I ate dinner at the Duangtawan almost every night. The dinner buffet is half the price of the Imperial Mae Ping.
