| "The staff were very polite & helpful, good buffet breakfast, hotel is set in beautiful well maintained grounds, generally very relaxing & inviting gardens & great pool.
Car parking is located outdoors some 50 - 60 metres from hotel entrance, this is a problem in the rainy season, the dash from the car park to the hotel up numerous steps becomes a little trying.
The Dusit is a lovely hotel but it is showing signs of its age !
I would highly recommend Asia Rooms as a booking agent!

"It's simply wonderful to wake up to a view of the Mae Kok River. Being on a private little island ensure peace and tranquility. I love it."

"This is a classy and traditional hotel. It is just out of the centre of Chiang Rai but one can walk into the town in 15 minutes. We did not have dinner in the hotel but we did have breakfast, which was was high quality. The gardens in which the hotel is set are well tended and extensive, as is the pool area. It overlooks the Kok river as well. Staff are friendly and business-like. "

"A little difficult to find driving your own car. Ounce found, however, no problem. Best resterant is just outside the gate. Happy hour at the downunder was OK, wine was expensive. We had a great stay. Very helpful with golf arrangements."

"Our room was very close to the central A/C outlet from the kitchen. Theese fans are very noisy, and the air smells from kitchen and cooking oil. The wardrobe should normally be in the room and not in the bathrom and toilet! Very strange."

"Although the hotel rooms are a little dated , this was more than compensated by the excellent service, great location, and offered excellent value for money. We stayed mid December and the hotel was not full. Most days we were the only ones using the huge pool,"

"This was my fifth stay (second thru AsiaRooms). Much, much cheaper than walk-up rates. This is the only Dusit in my budget range. And it is a treat. Just like the ones that cost twice as much. It is the only place I'll stay."
