The hotel is a little bit far from the city, but the natural surroundings are beautiful .The rooms are big and nicely furnished.

| "Hotel is nice.
Room we stayed in was very good. No problems there.
Breakfast pretty good.
Staff not the best:
- Forgot to pick us up one evening from town. Waited for 30 minutes and when they didn't come had to get a taxi back. Complained and all they said was they could drop us back into town the next day for "free", which we really paid for the night before when they didn't pick us up.
- Got room service one night. Food was brought to the room and asked if i could put the bill on the room. The guy insisted that i couldn't and that i had to pay cash and when i finally got the message across that i didn't have any cash he said "you can put it on the room". Ridiculous
- Arranged a tour through the hotel which was fine (a bit expensive so prob better to do it in town), however paid 500 baht more to see opium museum which wasnt open. A couple of days later when we were leaving, told them what happened and asked for our money back, but it didnt even look like they wanted to help us. Just stood around. Anyway they wanted us to call a number which they send arranged the tours, but we flew out that day so didnt bother.
Overall a nice hotel, good spot away from the town. Transport a bit difficult however, only certain times you can get a lift into town and have to pay 50 baht each one way. Pool and gardens very nice.
Only stay here if you get it real cheap! However, consider elsewhere!

| "The hotel is a bit old and dark especially the lobby. But, it is very quiet. The Vietnamese Buffet lunch is the best. But the breakfast and the dinner is not so good. For the service, there is always nobody at the poolside bar and the swimming pool is always under "Water Treatment". The receptionists and the housekeepers are nice, but you have to remind them few times before getting your clean towels. For location, it is too far from the city. All those mentioned "not-so-good" things, except the location, may due to low season and lack of staffing (especially in the restaurant). In brief, I enjoy staying in that hotel. If you want to have a quiet place, this is a good choice. " |

| "It was too far from the center and the people working there were looking angry and not enthousiastic as they were supposed to be." |

| "A greate place at the Kok River next to Chiang Rai city. Nice and service minded staf, excellent breakfast and lunch buffé. A big pool suitable for youngsters, families and seniors. The room was clean and nice. The only minus was that there was only a thin door between our room and the next room with a one inch (approx. 2,5cm) gap between the door and floor (room no. 2107 and 2108). Very much noice between the rooms...But anyway, me and my fiancé enjoyed our stay at the Rimkok Resort and Spa." |
