"We had been to Hua Hin before so knew where this hotel was not too far out which is the reason we booked it. The room that we had really needed a complete refurbishment it was very old fashioned and tired (the sheets on the bed were a bit grey which I found rather off putting) - the bathroom was the same but as we only paid £14 per night you couldn't expect a lot more. At breakfast there was the normal cereals, fruit etc but there wasn't a great choice of hot food - plenty of Thai food but not English apart from fried eggs but these were left to go cold - I found that all I had to do was to tell them that they were cold and they cook fresh ones. The hotel had a huge pool which was very nice. I will probably not stay here again unless the rooms got a total refurb."

"The hotel location was great and not far from the beach and shopping markets. Great view of the Gulf of Thailand from our room on the 16th floor. Breakfast was a bit basic but plenty of it. Would definitely stay again."

"The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and to town and night market. There are also taxi and tuk tuks waiting by the end of the street, so it's easy to get transport. We loved the big swimming pool which was mostly quiet. The rooms are OK: Decent size, beds are not too soft or hard, they had TV, fridge, mini bar and sea view but no balcony. Rooms and bathroom were clean. Bathroom had bathtub. There was a stale smell in the lobby (from aircon?). The breakfast buffer was extensive, with a salad bar, bread selection, fruits, cereals and a hot food buffet with Asian and Western choices (although the western choices consist of your typical Thai variety of hot dogs, ham and fried eggs which I personally don't like too much as it doesn't taste anything like in the West). Overall I was impressed with the variety and choice of food though. Great value for money overall and I would definitely stay there again. "

"When we arrived at the hotel we asked the front office if it was possible to stay one night more than we had planned. That was possible but they also asked us what we had to pay via the internet booking. Via the internet it was more cheaper than direct in the hotel, so they advised us to reserve the room via internet. We even had not to pay for using the computer in the hotel to reserve the room. Compliments for the staff. Very friendly staff. Price and quality is in balance. "

"Hua Hin Grand Plaza is indeed a value-for-money hotel. There was a small box of tissue paper in room when we checked in. It would be good if the hotel consider changing its bed linen as they look really old. During our stay, we preferred walking (about 12-15 minutes) to the shops and sea-food restaurants. On our last night, my wife had a pretty good 1-hours Thai massage at the night market just by the hotel for a mere 100 Baht. We found the prices of stuff sold at this night market lower than the one in town. We enjoyed ourselves during the 3 days' stay at Hua Hin so much that we intend to return the next year."

"Very nice hotel. Very good service and very friendly personel, especially miss Noina at the front desk, who I never saw without a smile on her face! Only point of critic would be in the bathroom, where there was no hot water in the bath/shower most of the time... Out of that, the hotel is outstanding, including the food!"

"Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast choice was excellent. A good location, easy walking distance to town centre, beach and shopping malls. The rooms are in need of refurbishment and up dating but are very clean. Excellent value for money. We will definately be staying here again"

"We really liked the Grand Plaza Personally we dont look for great resort style luxury, the Grand gives us great valua for the prize we paid In total we where there for 3 weeks. The entire staff is very friendly, nevermind what you asked for, a softer bed-a hairdrier - a scale to weigh your suitcase. You dont have to wait, it is seen too immediatly. Also the girl wich attended to our room was quick and clean. Its therefore a pity that i just have one complain: the carpet in the room 1210 was real dirty. The Grand is very central, walking distance to the night markets shopping centres and the beach en all kind off restaurants, without being in the middle off it. The grands pool is a large one, also clean. We requested a room on a higher level, and had no problems from traffic noise, and to top it all, a beautifull sea view. We sure will come back. "

"Best part of hotel is the view of the ocean from the room and mountains from hallway. Older hotel but kept up very well. Location is good, breakfast is good and facilities are good. Pool is quite large. Will definitely stay there again as long as we can get the good rate they offered on Asia Rooms. Excellent value for the money. "
