"Nice hotel next to the river, with a nice swimming pool. Breakfast ok. "

"Probably the hotel is good for young people who don't care if the service is not really good, the football players make noise, the staff occupy the pool for themselves and they just close the restaurant so you are obliged to eat somewhere else. Definitely not a quality service, even the staff is friendly. Quality of the food resonable, prices high. Location very attractive, though nowhere to go. "

"The resort's best and worst is the same: it's location. It is located on the banks of the river Kwai, in a secluded area, which is accesible by boat only (car access is possible, but adds 40 minutes drive and there is no signs available). This means that after 18:00 you are confined to the resort. There is a good dinner available, although pricy compared to what can be had outside, and a thai-dance show and entertainment. The resort itself is beautiful, clean, and the service is excellent. Highly reccomended, if you don't mind staying in every night."

"It is a bit difficult to rate this hotel because it is something special: a lodge out in the jungle and rooms can by nature not be deluxe. For this type of Lodge Hotel it's a great place to visit and everything you need is there. Good value and very nice, personal service. We were late for buffet breakfast and staff insisted to serve us individual breakfast without extra charge. Nice, romantic place in pure nature."

"I had the best experience at the Resotel when I went there with my girlfriend in December 2007. Service was super-friendly and great; e.g. we were initially put in a bungalow with 2 storeys, but then we told the manager that we had actually booked a private deluxe - so within 5 minutes we had our own bungalow. No problem. Breakfast buffet is standard and OK, but the local Thai food a la carte was both excellent and not overpriced. Only drawback were a few big noisy tour groups at that time, guess that happens in many places but showed that the place is getting popular. Although I booked via asiarooms.com it was not all clear what was included and what not, such as the transport from the hotel to the railway-station or the visit to the native mon-village. Conclusion: a great gettaway (no cars, just boats) for a few days, Elephant Park, Tiger Temple, Mon Village or the bridge over the River Kwai or Eriwan waterfall are worth visiting. Mountain-biking in the evening is also a great option - we also enjoyed the relaxing massage, although it was a bit pricey. The natural setting between trees and tons of vegetation is superb and quite romantic."

"Good budget accommodation for short stay only, limited meal options but good buffet and overall value for money "

"Had an enjoyable week with our two young children. recommend hiring a car to see all the local highlights and national parks. rooms were quite small but adequate. Were re-concreting the pool while we were there which would have been nice to know! a relaxing location, friendly staff."

"I stayed at River Kwai Resotel for Songklan Festival 2006, the staff is friendly, the food is good and price is reasonable. The only problem that i facing is the location of the hotel, no signboard. Is very diificultt to find the pier and the location map that i printed out from internet is totally different and didn't stated that we need to take a speed boat and have wasted 2 hours to get the actual location. The telephone number stated is not in service. "

"This hotel is fabulous! The staff are very friendly and warm. The service is excellent. The location is a bit difficult to get to, best is to take the hotel pick up. The rooms were clean and nice! Breakfast not bad. Only stayed there for 1 day, wished had stayed longer. Value for money! Great Hotel. 10/10"
