| "This hotel has nice location if you have car or motorbike. Otherwise is quite a long walk from the Central Khao Lak. The bungalow was nicely decorated and had interesting and beautiful little details inside the room and the bathroom. Also, the view from the balcony was enjoyable. Service in this hotel was extremely friendly. We would stay in Baan Krating Khao Lak again. " |

| "All in all it was a plesant stay at the Baan Krating. It's avery nice location overlooking the Khao Lak Beaches and next to the Nationalpark. There were always ants in the bathroom, but I don't know if you can do much about them (maybe they could make sure there are no holes to come in for them).
I read there's a shuttle bus to Nangthong, but there defintely wasn't a shuttle bus, so we mostly walked along the beach to Nangthong (either first walk 5 minutes along the road to the sunset resort, where you can join the beach or walk 200 meters over the rocks along the water).
The staff was very friendly but most of them didn't speak English (even at the reception sometimes)." |

| "The Khao Lak property was fine, room nice, satff pretty good, facilities good. We havwe two exceptions. One, their AC units were not working well when we arrived. We had to move to another room, not a huge deal but a hassle after you've unpacked. Then later that evening we had wet clothes from the AC unit that had leaked water all over the closet. Both of these things happen and I think we would've dealt better with them had the "manager" been, well, a manager. I met him and asked a question of the beach, I got one word answers back and his demeanor was, " why are you bothering me," any other manager would have at least tried to carry on a conversation with you. My wife the same thing. She went to the office and met him and she asked a question and he was very stand-offish towards her as if he didn't have time to be bothered by paying giests. He was too important to be bothered by these trivial matters such as guests. He was the single reason why we did not finish our reservation of three days. This is not typical of Thai hospitality, nor would we allow it to cloud our view of the Thias or their great hospitality. This guy should not be in a service job at all, he has no personality.
I have been looking at Baan Kratings for over a year and was so much looking forward to our stay there, only for it to turn out this was, a shame for Baan Krating hotels and resorts." |
