| "Nice hotel...excellent staff.
Beautiful unspoilt beach ...
hotel is rather isolated so one usually eats on site
...strangely half the restaurants were closed
...which could reflect the off season and
low occupancy. " |

| "Overall the hotel is okay but we expected more of a 5 star hotel like Le Meridien. The restaurants in the hotel were a disapointment (the quality of the food and variety was average/bad), as was the kids club. We have two children and the kids club was a disapointment because we left the children there and we saw that the helpers sat the children on the floor and did nothing with them. Instead of playing games and doing other activities, they did nothing (I thought the personnel was not prepared to be with children). The best in the hotel are really the pools (very good) and the gardens. The beach is not very good (the water is of poor quality)- my husband as well as a friend - another couple that was with us, had an infection in his ears caused by the sea water.
We also thought that the prices charged by the hotel, either by shuttle bus of the hotel or in a private car to the village were highly inflated (very expensive because they charge per person and not per ride).
We would not stay in this hotel another time." |

| "Good hotel on a lovely beach. The only problem we found is that the hotel is virtually on its own with no restaurants within walking distance (only one on the beach). There are quite a few restaurants in the hotel but they rotate opening times, for example the thai restaurant closes on a sunday night, the first I have experienced this in a hotel!
Located about 20 minutes on a moped from the town. A great hotel if you want to relax and get away from it all in a resort style hotel." |

| "We enjoyed our stay at Le Meridian. The grounds are beautiful and the pools and other outdoor facilities were good. Would love to have been able to buy some basics at the resort. The staff were lovely. We were a little disappointed in the room service. Often shampoos and tea coffee and milk were not replaced on a daily basis. There was no room service menu in our room and nobody could find one. We were also locked out of our room one day and were told they just wanted us to let them know if we were checking out the next day. Not pleasant when your room is a long way from the lobby and you have just came back from a tiring outing." |

| "We stayed at Le Meridien in August 07 which was low season. Although all of the restaurants were not open we did enjoy those available. The room was great, food excellent and facilities fantastic. We found the staff very helpful, always smiling and willing to help. Would definitely recommend this resort. We wish that we had taken one of our grandchildren as the kids pool was fantastic.

| "We stayed at the Le Meridien Khao Lak for five nights and generally enjoyed our stay. I think the hotel is excellent for families with young children as they've got a really great children's pool, which is quite shallow. Our 18 month old son loved wading in and out of it, as well as coming down the slides. The kid's club is good too. Although our son is under three, he could go in there to play, as long as one of his parents went in there with him. Although there could have been more toys in there, he seemed to like the space to run around in, especially around noon, when it was just too hot for him to be outside.
The only negative point is that not all the restaurants in the resort were open. Although there are quite a few restaurants, the hotel has staggered the days they are open, which often means that there is a limited choice. However, the beach restaurant (about 3 minutes walk along the beach from the hotel), serves cheap tasty food. An alternative is to get the shuttle bus into Khao Lak.
I would recommend the hotel restaurant, Kukkak, for its tasty Indian food and house band. It was just a little disappointing that the night we went, there weren't many people there as the live music was very good.
The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, with its own beach frontage, which is great for going for long walks. When we were there, the sea was calm enough to swim in. The beach is quite clean, and much better than many in Phuket.
I would recommend booking this room with Asiarooms, as after quite a lot of research, I found that they definitely offer the best room rate.
