| "I had a bad "Barali" experience for the following reasons: (1) The day before the trip, I wanted to call Barali to get direction. However, I found that Barali website had no phone numbers. Next I called the Barali number that was listed in the Asiarooms.com reservation paper. That number was also disconnetced (no dial tone). Finally, I called Asiarooms.com customer service and got a number that worked. (2) I booked and paid for a beachfront room. However, upon arrival, I was given a different room. The manager indicated that my beachfront room was undergoing reapirs and would not be available until next day. Later I found that all three beachfront rooms were occupied and there were no repairs going on in any of those rooms. Barali simply overbooked those rooms and the manager lied about the repairs. (3) The breakfast was a total joke (toast, jelly, and a few pieces of fruits). I have been living in Bangkok for the last four years and go to different resorts around the country once in every two months. I have learned to judge the quality of a hotel by the quality of its breakfast. I must say that Barali breakfast was by far the worst I have experienced in any hotels in Thailand. (4) The number of channels that were available in TV was very limited. When it rained non-stop one day, there was nothing to see on TV. (5) The restaurant is a poorly managed establishment. After breakfast hours, it gave the impression that no one worked or ate there. For a decent meal, one has to travel to While Sand Beach by Taxi(about 10km away from Barali). (6) From hotel, the walk to the main road takes about 10-15 minutes. Barali should offer free rides at least to the main road (or better to White Sand Beach). On the positive, the staff members are polite and the resort is beautifully maintained. The beach is beautiful. Considering that there are no other good hotels in that strip of beach, Barali has the great opportunity to stand itself out as the best hotel in the area. All it needs are a good and honest manager and a good marketing effort. " |

| "Very good room and nice bathroom.
the telephone was not working, no internet in room ,
and also cable TV has very limited channels for this price of room.
The beach in front of the hotel has a lot of stones which could better clean up.
Nice setting fot the hotel." |

| "Excellent in all aspects. Very courteous staff, well appointed rooms and a perfect vacation spot. Resort is beachfront with a lovely pool facing the ocean. Dinners are on the beach with a wide variety of seafood selections. Breakfast has a good choice also. Spa and massage was at 50% off...very reasonable and clean. Resort is located 500m from the main road, right on the beach but could be a long walk for those without their own transportation and wants to visit other places of interest in the island.
We look forward to visiting this resort again in winter." |

| "the hotel is very lovely, the rooms spacious, they garden well trimmed. easy beach access, perfect water. the restaurant needs improvement, service is very slow and just "trying", food is good though. breakfast needs improvement, limited choice, sometimes overcrowded. the hotel's private beach has not been cleaned, neither the sunbeds and the mats. was really bothering me. they have a lot of staff standing around all day but they do not see the work. lack of management, i guess. would i return ? i seriously don't know." |

| "This is a very nice hotel right on the beach. The rooms are large and clean the bathrooms have lovely sunken baths, although it did smell a bit musty." |

| "Stayed here for 5 nights 29 September 2006 and really liked this place. Very nice location next to best beach. Accommodation, pool, gardens and restaurant all very good. Only downside was weather and some building work being carried out, but then it is low season right now and work is being done at a lot of places ready for the new season. Would definately come back when weather is better." |

| "Barali beac was beautiful. Only one negative thing was the weather. If you are planning a holiday hee in the wet season (and there are 2!) and hoping that you will be lucky with the weather and get a few days of sun, THINK AGAIN! Unfortunately, it wasn't even that it was cloudy, but that is pours down for several hours a day, which will even interfere with the satellite tv, leaing very litle to do. However if the weather was beter i would definately return. The service was fantastic, staff were attentive, bathroom and bedroom amazing. One other thing. I am not the sort of person who likes to eat 'in-resort' every night, and if you don't there are limited options. If thats appealing to you then it's fine. Can also recommend the Yummy Hut restaurant, opposite the end of the hotel drive, on the main road." |
