| "Reception staff lacks English skills to be helpful other than quoting room rates. Internet is advertised but not working (engineer always coming tomorrow to fix). Restaurant food and service was very good and reasonably good value. Older hotel needs updating, cannot see ocean or beach from small pool. The Koh Chang Paradise Resort next door, much nicer facilities and rooms for same price. Would not recommend Koh Chang Resort as good value for the money. Taxi return to airport is about double the price as Taxi to hotel from airport. Koh Chang hotels, restaurants, and services do not seem to understand "off-season" nor "value for money". Not nearly the "desire to please" culture you see in Pattaya, Hua Hin, Chaing Mai or even Bangkok." |

| "Hmm. This place has its pluses and minuses. A good location with a walking distance from a supermarket, pharmacy etc but still quiet. A really very nice stretch of beach, perfect for swimming. Beautiful, well-kept garden. OK food.
BUT: we had a "deluxe" cottage in the garden with nothing luxurious about it, just a basic room. No porch. The bathroom had inadequate ventilation and smelled damp and musty, brown water coming from the taps. We would probably stay somewhere else next time.

| "WELL,I GUESS IT IS A NICE HOTEL,RIGHT NEAR THE BEACH,WE STAYED IN SUPERIOR BUILDING,ROOM KIND OF SMALL,IN BATHROOM NOT ENOUGH LIGHT,GREAT VIEW ON THE BEACH,IT WAS LOW SEASON SO ATTENTION OF HOTEL STAFF WAS NOT THAT HIGH,we paid 47euro per night in low season, far to much,if u stay there you need to rent a motorcycle because next small village is a bit far away,i assume in highseason its a great place to stay, but i guess they also double the prices then, the swimming pool is to small for the size of the hotel,on the other side of the street they are building or renovating a larger pool, well for that price i probably would not stay there anymore,i wonder how small must be standard rooms" |

I was realy very sad and angry during my stay at koh chang resort and spa." |

| "The place was nice, but neither the staff nor asiarooms were able or willing to follow our wish to cancel the last night of our stay. Good entertainment was watching how some of the tourists make use of the breakfast buffet like being afraid to starve immediately." |

| "We thought the resort was great. Our bungalow facing the ocean was quite comfortable and had a nice view.
We loved the pool and we were usually the only ones using it. They had a terrific little spa with very reasonbly priced massages and execlent service. The restaurant had a nice view but the food was nothing special. There were several other very good restaurants within walking distance. Overall our stay was very enjoyable. We would not hesitate staying there again.

| "We had a beachfront bungalow, and it was wonderful. Clean, quiet (we had a family of four next door and never heard them!) and we stepped out of our door straight onto a private beach which was also kept clean and tidy. Beach towels were provided by the hotel, so clean towels available every day. The main pool was on the other side of the road and due to the enormous amount of building work going on we didn't use it (it didn't look that clean), but there was a second smaller pool that was fine for our purposes (big enough to swim in, clean and close to our room).
The hotel prices are extortionate and it is cheaper to eat and drink at the local bars/restuarants." |

| "Main problem was that the resort took 5 days to confirm our reservation, which put a lot of stress on us as we didn't know if we could stay there, but couldn't book anywhere else until we knew whether we had a booking. I think the resort should not be advertised on asia rooms if they are going to take so long to reply.
The first room we were offered was only a double, though we had paid for a triple
We then got a room that was large enough, but dark and rather tatty.
The bathroom was not properly cleaned
However, it is a very lovely spot...beautiful beach good for swimming and the breakfasts were good." |
