"The bungalows are of nice quality... spacious rooms, lots of light, nice views (we had ocean view), adequate bathroom, and large balcony. The room is equipped with safe and TV + DVD. The DVD saved us from those rainy days getting boring. The restaurant is very decent. Breakfast likewise. Two drawbacks: - In the evening our shower did not have warm water. - For a longer stay the walk to the town (15 minutes) gets a little tiring."

"Nice but old villas (bungalows). Quiet location but expect to walk a lot, since many of the villas are located away from the reception. Absolutely nice sea-view. 5 min. walk to good beaches og 10 min. walk to the center of the main city. Reccomended compared to many of the other hotels and guest houses on the island."

"The room was really nice and large, though a little far from reception (5 min walk). The beach in front of the bungalow was great. Breakfast was ok, but not too diverse. All in all good place to stay for a week!"

"Overall I was more than happy with the hotel, I would highly recommend the beach front view as it was a truly fantastic view! A bit of a walk to the room about 5mins from the main desk and about 10-15mins walk to the town center. However there is loads to see on the way for me it was not a problem. "

"I found Arayaburi to be excellent in all areas for a hotel with a three star rating. Staff were very friendly and helpful, reception desk quick to respond, villa clean and very comfortable with good air con and a fantastic view of bay, the private beach was a delight with a great view, clean and very peaceful. The pool was a nice change from the beach if you wanted to swim laps and get out of the sand. Breakfast was included and very good, offering a large variety with plenty of food available. Walking to villa may be a effort for some people, I was the furtherest away from reception and enjoyed the quiteness there and didn't mind the hilly walk of about 5 mins through the lovely tropical gardens. Would certainly recommend it to others and return myself. Reception to Tonsai Bay Pier about 10 mins."

"While the room was large and clean, the location of the hotel is its biggest drawback. The Arayaburi is not only very far from most restaurants, but the rooms are located up a steep hill. While I am fit and can climb hills, the repeated climbs in the heat became a nuisance. Every climb back to the room resulted in another shower. Oh, and the shower itself...the shower water needed 30 minutes to heat up AFTER entering the room, and this was another absolutely ridiculous inconvenience. I would not stay at this hotel again, based mainly on location issues."

"Arayaburi is a nice hotel but could be much better, because is getting old. Is well located facing the ocean, away of the confusion but near enough of the restaurants and bars. There are very nice gardens surrounding the bungalows. Rooms are good (ask for the ones with ocean views) but there is a big problem with pluming. A lot of bad smells !! Food is ok but nothing spectacular. Staff is friendly. Overall I was expecting a more remarkable experience, considering I was in Phi Phi, a supposed tropical paradise."

"Great place. Bit of a walk to the room, but lovely."

"The biggest problems we ran into here were cockroaches, TV channels only partially working, and the wireless internet always being out at the front desk. The hotel is very nice and clean, but it can be a bit of a hike to your room. "

"The Hotel could be very nice but they had real staffing problems and for the first week there we had to almost fight to get any sort of room service and the cleaners they did have where not trained just anyone would do. It did get better the second week but by then the fun had gone out of it. Not for the faint hearted as the rooms are a long walk and up and down like a roller coaster. Food ok"
