Would I stay at this location
again:

No way!
I chose this hotel solely because the adjacent sea was the landing site for a seaplane flight (the company apparantly went out of business just before we arrived. Phi Phi Don is nothing spectacular and I certainly would not choose the hotel as a base for travelling to Phi Phi Le (which is spectacular) as the trip is too expensive. The hotel service is wonderful but everything is geared to you being a little isolated and having unlimited amounts of money to spend. Not a place I would return to.

"This hotel was absolutely beautiful, so relaxing the rooms were so clean and the staff are very welcoming. Food was good along with the cocktails at the pool."

"I absolutely recommend this place. The hotel is really nice and they have many facilities to make your vacations comfortable. ( 2 restaurants, a bar with an amazing view, a TV rooms…) The bungalows are perfect, but don`t expect any luxury. The beach is just amazing. The hotel is located in the north part of the island near to 2 resorts and some local restaurant (there is nothing more there so the place is quite quiet. Be careful with this because if you like to go other place you need to take a boat and they are not so cheap.) "

"we had a great time.. howevee have to admit I was expecting a nicer and bigger room based on the photos on your website. The reality wasnt bad.. but took a little while for me to adjust my exoectations.. location was idyllic and made up for any disppointment in the room "

"The hotel is located in a beatiful place, very nice beach, and suwimming pool. Clean, confortable and the people working are very nice. Breakfast very good. The only thing we were disappointeded is at the arriving to the port, luck of information, how to get to tho hotel, or a free shuttle boat. We were taken by a private boat in the port. The bathroom is not renovated, but we were generaly speaking, very happy and confortable at your hotel, best regards, K. Milosevic "

"We spent 3 magical days at Laemthong Beach in August 2008 (by far the best beach on Koh Phi Phi) and were very lucky with the weather. The scenery is simply spectacular, it is the most beautiful beach we’ve seen in Thailand. The hotel is perfectly located on the good end of the beach with a truly postcard-like cinematic horizon, complete with white sand, turquoise waters, a dead “fossilized” tree and islands in your sight. Heavenly perfect for reading and lounging in the sun. The hotel staff was extremely nice, smiling and professional, speaking good English. They upgraded us spontaneously to a beachfront bungalow, free of charge, which was very nice. Our room was comfortable, clean, no TV but you don’t miss it. No recreational activities on site so bring a good book. The breakfast was great and the best we had during our trip. No trip to Koh Phi Phi is complete without going to Jasmin’s restaurant, on the beach, right next to the hotel on the left, in the Sea Gypsy Village (in front of the stationed longtail boats). We had the best times there. Where else can you find laidback amazing settings, great food and drinks, the sweetest and most smiling staff ever, extremely affordable prices; and your service tax goes directly to help the fisherman’s children go to school, among other charitable projects Jasmin and Peter are strongly involved in? Eco-friendly guilt-free yet self-indulged tourism (the dream of the 21st century traveller) doesn’t taste nor feel better than that. I had a dumb accident there and broke my arm. Jasmin and Peter took care of me with love, mean mojitos and great interesting company. If you guys read this, thank you so much for everything, and I’ll be fine, 2 more weeks of immobilization and I’ll be as good as new, well, slightly used. The owners are a truly fascinating couple. Jasmin is a concentrate of thai wisdom and motherly love rolled in a lot of character and refreshingly genuine attitude. Peter is an ex cosmopolitan fashion designer/Glastonbury promoter living his 5th life as a sweet yet rugged “outbackey” passionate licensed master diver and adoptive sea gypsy with a great sense of humour. You’ll see pictures of “their adoptive children” proudly displayed and spoken of. We thank them again and wish them our best. Do not forget to inquire at the restaurant for diving/snorkelling/ longtail boat trips to surrounding Bamboo /Mosquito/Koh Phi Phi Ley islands for the best rates and the satisfaction to help directly the brave, charming and hard-working local population. We felt no need to go to overcrowded Tonsai Bay and you’ll find a mini-mart next to Jasmin’s to stock up on beverages and other necessities. Overall, it was the best leg of our trip and definitely recommendable. We’ll come back for sure. The hotel is pricey but affordable food and drinks are readily available in the village; and the spectacular settings again are totally worth it. "
