It is unfortunate but our trip to Phi Phi I feel would have been much more pleasant if the accommodation was better. When we arrived we were given a ground floor room, not what we requested, which was like a dungeon and smelt like mould, the air conditioning was not good and we looked out onto bare soil. To their credit when I went to the front desk and lodged a complaint we were shifted to a top floor room with somewhat decent views, however that's where it ends. The room was not much better than the last except we had carpeted floors in lieu of tiles and a balcony. When we lifted the bedspread we were faced with blood stained sheets,the same was experienced by another couple we were travelling with. I should also mention that when we changed rooms we had to cart our luggage from the previous room which was at the far end of the Hotel to our new room on the third floor, no elevators we had to negotiate the stairs, no assistance was offered by the Hotel. We found the management and staff to be very lazy and not accommodating they just sit around and look totally disinterested. I feel that the Hotel is being run like a backpacker type of accommodation and if that is what we were looking for then we probably would not complain, but that is not what we booked and paid for.
