The room that I stayed in was very basic. The size of the room was very big and spacious, however, the bathroom wasn't what I expected. Although I understand that being in the secluded islands means limited water hence I had to lower my standard but there was a time when I couldn't take a shower as it was switched off. The staff of the hotel was very nice and friendly though most of the staff in the restaurant couldn't speak English and had hard time communicating. I had hoped to stay in a five star hotel which is why I had higher expectations but it is a good hotel for families and budget travelers who want to relax. The location of the hotel was great, they had dive centre next to the hotel which, apparently was much cheaper than the one located in Holiday Inn which was relief to hear as the purpose of the trip was diving, so although I don't think I will chose to stay in this hotel again, overall I did not mind the place.

| "The hotel is mediocre and way overpriced. Even more frustrating is a new building being added to the hotel right behind ours. The workers live in squalor, which when you consider what people are paying for a room is frustratingly unfair.
Phi Phi itself is overrated, although the surrounding islands are good for visiting, snorkeling, etc. But be prepared to shell out way more cash than you would anywhere else in Thailand." |
