| "I am very happy when step in the resort lobby and then the room.... (we were upgraded to spa villa)... however, the facilities in my room was not up to my expectation.. first of all, the drainage was almost blocked in the shower room. Even we called the staff to fix it, the problem persisted. The water even flow to the room.... we have to stop the shower and wait for the water to flow away. One of the light bulb was broken. The worst was in my friend's room, there was no air condition, then we called the staff to fix it... however, the air condition still did not work and the staff just tried to argue that the air-condition was fixed. Finally, we asked for a fan in the room for two night.... they once offer to change the room for us, but the room will be a bit far from mine, so my friend prefer to stay with fan. The beach was terriblely dirty, a lot of potato chips bags... a lot a lot... the baach at Hat Sai Kaew and Silver sand is much much better..." |

| "Le Vimarn is perfect if you want to spend a few quied days at the beach in luxury. The cottages are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The location is perfect and the pool is located right at the beach wich gives it a very nice view.
The breakfast buffet is very complete. The only setback is the main restaurant which serves western food at a very basic level but at a western price. There isa also a thai food restaurant wich is much better and carries normal prices. You can also visit the neghbours for even better thai food." |

| "A quiet place, nice swimming pool. But it is too quiet that only few guests stayed. Inconvenience to go other places such as Sai Kaew Beach for food or show that you've to stay in hotel area." |

| "The restaurant is very pricey and not very good. There is two (manybe three) other restaurants in the vicinity, but only one of them seemed worth visiting.

| "The property is nice enough.
We stayed in a Spa Suite. Well there was an outdoor bath so I am not sure why they are called 'Spa Suites'
The Breakfast is excellent(and was included in the tarrif) however the prices in the Restaurant for lunch & dinner are 'out of control'.I mean 2000baht ++ for a seafood set dinner is not exactly good value for money. If they were paying Western wages I could possibly understand however the Thai wage is probably around the 6-10,000baht per month not the 100,000baht+ per month paid in Western establishments.
The staff are friendly however some maybe not too honest. My wallet in the room was emptied of 5000baht (my fault- should have put it in the safe).
The place is reasonably clean. The bathrooms however had hair from the previous guests on the floor. " |

| "This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The service and staff are amazing.
The only problem we had was that we were plagued by mosquitos in the bedroom. If they sort that we will definitely go again" |

| "If you're getting the bus from Bangkok to Ban Phe note that the pier for the free transfer is NOT where everyone else is going. At the road turn right and about a 10 min walk is an office for Le Vimarn and Ao Prao.
Boat takes about 40 min.
No pier in bay but you get lots of help getting off. Wonderful greeting - they'd learnt our names. Delicious welcome drink!
Bay only has 3 hotels and 4 eating places (2 basic). Means it is quite quiet and relaxing but bit pricy as less competition. Can easily get a taxi to other parts of island. We walked (very hot but only 20 min to main part).
Our first room - Honeymoon Room. Is up away from the beach on a hill with a great view of hotel and beach and sunset. Wooden pathways to room and lit up beautifully at night. Room was lovely with comfy bed and mosquito net. Wooden floors, outdoor shower (bit unpractical with mosquitos!) but one inside too. Seperate toilet. Really nice little room. TV and DVD player, mini bar, 2 complementary bottles of water a day, fruit basket on arrival. Clean, cool, comfy.
Second room - Spa Room. Wow! Lovely big bed again, with lounge chairs, large shower, large balcony overlooking beach and sunset again, bit further away from other huts therefore quieter (not that it's loud in the other bit!). Spa is more like a very large square bath on the balcony. With screens for privacy. Also a massage bed (?!) and table and chairs.
Restaurant has a Thai set menu every night, other than that suprisingly un-Thai food and very overpriced (for Thailand!). Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere.
Breakfast was good although not extensive (they have to ship most things in). Fruit, juices, basic cereals, bread and pastries, choice of scrambled, omelet or pancakes (which were great!).
On beach there are activities you can pay for, a massage place. And the 4 restaurants/bars. Tried all restaurants. We liked Lima Coco best because it was the best value for money. Ao Prao is a lovely setting too though.
The sunsets are amazing. I felt so relaxed.
They say the bus takes 3 and quarter hours. It took nearly 5 both ways for us." |

| "Great service and accomodation for the values! As I checked in on my day of birthday, the hotel provides me with a special champagne package at room! Nice staff always wear a smile. Very comfortable resorts. Just located at Ao Prao, being quite far away from the other entertainment places / seafood resturant on Sammed Island. Roundtrip taxi fares cost at least 500 bahts per person." |
