"Superb holiday location and hotel. We were in a room at the top of the hill which was a daunting walk on occasions as we are both over 60 but never a problem as the staff were only too willing to drive you anytime, anyplace and anywhere."

"The location is beautiful and the hotel is really great value with modern spacious room and the pools are amazing. Breakfast everymorning was delicious however it would of been better if there was no smoking allowed in the restaurant. Other than that this hotel has it all and at a reasonable price!"

"We stayed here for two weeks in the two bedroom pool villia overall we where a little disapointed as the rooms are looking a bit run down and the decks outside by the pool where in need of repair (due to nails sticking up).We paid over $600 a night for five star not three and a half to four,so travellers beware!! PS: it was nice having our own pool as the hotel pool was rather small. hope this helps in your decisions"

"The Samudra Retreat was beautiful. The views were stunning and the staff were very friendly and approachable. We had a room with a view of the beach and a pool outside our front door. Everything was very clean and tidy. The resort is about 10-15 minutes drive away from Chewang (which is great for shopping, food, nightlife) and the great thing is we could escape from the busier part of town back to our hotel when we wanted to relax. Definitely a must stay."
