| "Anantara is in south part of BOPHUT : it takes less than 10 minutes by walk on the street along the beach to be in center of BOPHUT. It is a quiet place and if you want to go to CHAWENG you need to rent motorbike or car. Taxis are very expensive and never want to put the " meter ". And if meter is used some taxis display " it will be added to the meter price 95 Bath ". This kind of practice desserves a lot SAMUI.
Beach in BOPHUT is less nice than in CHAWENG." |

| "The resort was beautiful, the service close to perfect, the rooms, the spa, the pool, the food and the winelist were exceptional. Compared to some of the other places around Bo Phut Beach that were charging 3 or 4 times as much, this was excellent value for money. If we had the opportunity, we would be back. " |

| "Anantara is undoubtedly one of the best hotels i've ever stayed. before i comment on this, i must say me and my partner were luckily upgraded from deluxe seaview to Royal suite, which is the most luxurious one. the room is equipped with a huge bathtub in a spacious bathroom (red flower petals were put next to it!), 2 big beachfront terraces, a living room + a king sized bed! pool and beach are just downstairs. Buffet breakfast was great too - u can have varieties of thai, japanese, chinese, and western food. location is quite okay, at least u can reach other restaurants by walking. but i must say it was nice experience trying hotel restaurants and bars. food is pricy but beyond expectation. staff are super nice, their smiles made me feel like home (no exaggeration!) before i booked the room, i read a review on asiarooms.com saying the photos of the hotels dont do it just. now i have the same idea in mind that u will be offered much more than what u see in the pictures. hopefully one day i can stay in another Anantara resort, and will definitely come back to this one in Samui!" |

| "The hotel is away from the main party area of samui, good for honeymooners but very difficult to travel around, you have to rent a car to do this. The service is nothing to talk about even for a extra towel you have to make lots of calls ultimately i had to make a complaint regarding this after that we were given extra towels every day. The food is very expensive, and the aminities are also very expensive they charge the prices of four seasons and the service is not as great. we atayed in a deluxe room and the size of the room is not that great even the bathrooms are not big with they had a seperate shower quibicle as the whole bathroom use to get wet after a shower.
Its a ok hotel there are lots of hotels that are of similar and are cheaper then this one and better value for money.
Hope this helps

| "Beautiful hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Staff very efficient and exactly what you would expect from an Anantara hotel. Breakfast was first class and the bar area was very stylish.
Spa was a overpriced however and there are better value spas available in Samui. " |

The SPA is fantastic, but the prices are way too high for Thailand.
