The problem with going to Koh Samui is that you have no real idea of the layout of the island and how accessible certain locations are. Arayaburi is isolated and transport is needed to get anywhere else on the island. Taxis are too expensive, with a fixed rate applying as they know you are confined. Hire of a jeep or motorcycle is therefore necessary.
The beach is rather rough with swell and waves, and I would suggest staying at Cheong Mon Beach which is much better. There are many hotels there.
The villas at Arayaburi are very nicely appointed, but the swimming pool is very shallow and not very modern.
The restaurant has an excellent variety of food at good prices. However, you get sick of eating in this restaurant. Breakfast was good with omelettes available.

| "The hotel was good. A little off the beaten track, but the service was good, place was clean etc.
I'd be happy to stay there again." |

| "This is a great place is has all yhat you could want from a budget priced resort, you will need a scooter as it is a little way away, but close to everything with your own transport. Koh Samui can be a little crazy in some parts but this is a quiet peaceful place with lovely staff who go put of their way to make you feel welcome. It is not a five star resort but for the price it was one of the best places I have stayed in." |

| "Hotel very-romantic, far from everything! We need to take taxi to do anything. The most important is that the idyllic beach is fulfill of rock. We can't swim without scratching. If you seek a clear area with no people, no town center, no crowd, no shops... You will be served! However, the staff is very nice and the beach color is beautiful to take many pictures!!! Hope that my comments will help you to do the best choice!" |

| "I was very disappointed in the "spa" selections. I wanted an eye brow and lip waxing and could not get it there. The facilities for the massages looked fabulous in the website advertisement but were very disappointing in actuality. I would not stay there again." |

| "We were only there for 1 night, but the staff were very friendly and polite. The room was lovely. The complimentary fruit salad on arrival was great. It would have been nice to spend a couple of days there to fully appreciate the facilities.
Only comment that I would make was that the aircon unit was quite loud." |
