| "Superb holiday location and hotel. We were in a room at the top of the hill which was a daunting walk on occasions as we are both over 60 but never a problem as the staff were only too willing to drive you anytime, anyplace and anywhere." |

| "The location is beautiful and the hotel is really great value with modern spacious room and the pools are amazing. Breakfast everymorning was delicious however it would of been better if there was no smoking allowed in the restaurant. Other than that this hotel has it all and at a reasonable price!" |

| "We stayed here for two weeks in the two bedroom pool villia overall we where a little disapointed as the rooms are looking a bit run down and the decks outside by the pool where in need of repair (due to nails sticking up).We paid over $600 a night for five star not three and a half to four,so travellers beware!!
PS: it was nice having our own pool as the hotel pool was rather small.
hope this helps in your decisions" |

| "The Samudra Retreat was beautiful. The views were stunning and the staff were very friendly and approachable. We had a room with a view of the beach and a pool outside our front door. Everything was very clean and tidy. The resort is about 10-15 minutes drive away from Chewang (which is great for shopping, food, nightlife) and the great thing is we could escape from the busier part of town back to our hotel when we wanted to relax. Definitely a must stay." |

| "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Samudra. The hotel is very nicely located if you want to get away from the crowds at Chaweng Beach but conveniently close to Cheong Mon Beach where you can go for dinner or to the 7/11 if you need something. I would definitely go back again." |

| "beautiful hotel, amazing scenery, excellent service.
unfortunately too far out of town and the free shuttle runs very infrequently (every 3 hours) and you have to pay in the evenings.
room we were given initially after paying for deluxe seaview was neither deluxe nor sea view but after complaining we were moved to a much nicer room.
unfortunately new room had cockroaches (found 1 a day for last 4 days) but didnt let it spoil the holiday.
all in all, good for couples wanting to get away from it all, but probably not for longer than 4 days as nothing to do but relax by (beautiful) pool." |

| "During the four days stay there, I constantly saw upkeeps and maintenance work done on the grounds which I thought was commendable. The room was clean but too small for the USD$160 (Deluxe Sea view). What I didn't like the most about the place was that I think their restaurant gave me food poisoning! I believe it was at the restaurant because I hadn't eaten anywhere else other than there prior to the 16 hours before I came down w a bout of food poisoning. Had it not been for the food poisoning, I would have given this hotel a perfect 5 rating for cleanliness." |

| "There was a very bad smell near the stairs close to our room. The house cleaning was always very slow.
The pool was great, I liked the hotel location.
The rooms feel a bit old a tired.
I may look for somewhere else if I came back to Samui.
I think you are a little overpriced.
But overall it was a great trip.
