My pregnant wife and I stayed here in January 07 for 13 nights and had a fantastic time. The staff do their very best to help you and nothing is too much trouble. Their English is fairly limited though, but they are very keen to improve it.
The infinity pool is superb and the standard of the rooms is very, very good. Bags of room and a glass room over the bath to gaze at the stars. The views of Hong Island from our terrace were also amazing. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

| "The Nakamanda is a great hotel for anyone wanting to get away from it all and willing to pay a little of the odds for excellent service and beautiful surroundings. The staff were helpful and friendly, always present when you needed something but not in your face. The restaurant food is fantastic and the massage i had in the spa was a complete treat (although both the restaurant and the spa are pricey considering usual thai prices).
I had a fantastic time at the Nakamanda and would happily go back. Definatly recommend for couples and anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing break. If you are feeling more adventurous you can rent a moped for £5 a day and drive to the nearby village or the busy resort of Ao Nang." |

| "We stayed 6 days in the hotel and were extremely impressed. Swimming pool is one of the best I have ever experienced and combines well with the beach. Great outings, but likewise pleasant to stay in the resort. Would like to see a little more range at the restaurant, particularly vegetarian and fish dishes (grilled sea bass?). Very quiet and secluded making it perfect for couples." |

The people who work at Nakamanda are incredibly friendly, but we found service in the restaurant to be quite slow, and the language barrier was a problem at times. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay." |
