We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton.
The F & B outlets were good,the room was large,and the service was good.
The one major drawback we thought was the lack of games facilities.There was one table tennis table and that was about it.Other hotels we have stayed at of comparable quality/price had snooker tables and pool tables,boules etc and I think a hotel like this should have those facilities.
Also,there was no serious attempt to organise beach games such as volleyball etc.

| "Beautiful grounds, lovely swimming pool and swim up bar. We loved the fact that the pool was open 24 hours and was away from the rooms.
Breakfast was fantastic - they cooked all hot food to order rather than just a big buffet. The beach was lovely - I got to swim with the elephant!
my only dissapointment was the mandara spa as it was really expensive and not at all relaxing. I paid more than the room rate for a 90 minute procedure and it was not as good as the cheap massages in the street.
We went in June which I think must be the best time as it was the low season and there werent many people there at all.
Dont bother with the shuttle bus as it is infrequent and expensive. there is a "taxi" stand out the front which involves you standing at the side of the road till a man who lives near by notices you and will drive you into Ao nang for less.
Also there are some reasonable restaurants outside the grounds if you dont want to be stuck with the hotels pricey dining all the time. They make a pretty good margarita at the restaurant over the road but beware the duck curry as it is a bit weird... think it was smoked duck or something strange.

| "We spent 12 days at the sheraton and enjoyed every minute.The added bonus was the restaurant called "gecko's"-superb food!
The only down side was the price of the wine.The cheapest bottle was 1400 bht and they ran out of that 5 days into our hoiiday-the next cheapest was 2800 bht-a complete rip off!
Luckily there was a restaurant next door on the beach with normal prices.
An extra thank-you to all the staff[well,most of them!]for being friendly nearly all of the time." |

| "We stayed four nights during the first week of Jan 06. We liked the rooms, facility clealiness, and the daily activities hotel provided. However, the hotel location is quite far from all attractions. Taxi going to downtown or Ao Nang costs Bht 600 round trip. We got terrible housekeeping services. They were very inconsistance, missing wash clothes for a day, missing complimentary fruits for 2 out of 4 days, a used napkin was replaced with a used one (very sloppy)." |

| "i stayed at the Sheraton Beach for 4 nights and I found the hotel to be awesome, from the staff to the room to the food all was fualtless, absoloutley great. only drawback is the hotel being little faraway from the downtown which is ao-nang....but the lovely setting of the hotel makes up for it." |
