"We pre-booked (and paid for) two rooms on the Golden floor (the larger rooms, on floors 9-11). However, upon arrival, the hotel were only willing to give us two rooms on the 4th floor (standard size). This was hardly suitable for 4 adults, 1 child, and an infant. Despite raising this with the hotel, they tried to claim the 4th floor was the Golden floor, even though it was obvious to see it wasn't. Breakfast was very poor and the food was always cold. Not even my Thai wife (or her aunt) would touch it! You're far better off eating elsewhere. The swimming pool was another disappointment. They have a strange rule in that they do not allow anyone wearing swimming shorts to swim in the pool (yes, shorts specifically designed for swimming). I also wouldn't recommend the in-room television facilities. They made a habit of removing channels while you were watching them! It appears this hotel is only interested in those who are part of a large tour group, since they seem eager to cater for these groups, at the expense of anyone else."

"I stayed in this hotel for a night in Mar 2007. The location is far from the beach. I haven't seen any welcoming face when I checked in. It looks like they are all too busy even to explain the morning breakfast time. I requested for a non-smoking room and double bed,but got neither of them. The room size was ok, but the bathroom was too small and smelly. The water pressure was good though. I will probably not stay in this hotel again. There should be better choice at the same price."

"Location is good. I was there for 2 days and the breakfast is bad. Lots of Indian tourist. Lifts are in poor condition need to wait for long time and cannot fit in 5 pax. Unfriendly staff.I will not recommend this hotel."

"We stayed in Golden Beach from Dec 24, 2006 to Jan 5, 2007. Except no snow in the New Year Eve have nothing bad to say :) Econom class, accurate, hospitable. The sun is shining over the swimming pool until 12 am only (at this time of year)."

"We were on our honeymoon and we needed to look up a hotel, which fitted our budget (as during the Christmas season, the rates are expected to go up by almost 50 percent). We zeroed on the hotel at USD 45/ night (deluxe room). The rooms are large and very comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable and soft, which feels like heaven after a long day of outing in Pattaya. In fact mostly Indians and Russians frequent this hotel. During our stay we had two group tours from India (150 people each) who visited this hotel. As a result we got Indian breakfast during our stay and a complimentary Indian dinner for Christmas. Getting Indian food is GREAT while staying in Pattaya (if u happen to be a vegetarian). The only concern about the rooms is that there is no coffee-making machine provided. So if u are a tea buff you may need to carry one with u or alternatively order the same about 40 bath/cup. On the whole, a great hotel"

Comments:

Though the location is oke,the staf is not very friendly and unlike to help out if something is wrong. I booked a residential room and they tryed to put me in a room wich was less than standard. It was not clean, small bathroom,no minibar,no bedside table and lamp,a small bed. As i went down to complain it took some time before they worked it out and gave me another room wich as better but still less then i assumed it would be. all thogether they dont have what they offer on there site.Therefor it might be a suggestion for u to go out and ceck the hotels so you can see for yourself what they offer and what the situation is realy like. I have booked several times on your site, and i must say i never had complaints before.Generaly very satisfied.
