| "Excellent location right on the beach and good swimming pool. When the reception finally understand what assistance you need - they oblige, but patience is essential as their knowledge of English is not very good. Courtesy of staff is excellent. Bar and restaurant are not inviting or busy enough to encourage use in the evening - in fact I saw no one in them during our 4 day visit, but there are good restaurants a short walk away. Try the Norwegian(?) resteraunt Oh Li Li (or something like that) only 50m from the hotel on the beach - the Thai food was excellent!! " |

| "Avalon resort hotel is clean, beautiful, comfortable.
It has a nice swimming pool & beach. People are very kind. I like that!
But location is far from places like Alcazar, Big C, Walking Street, so have to get a expensive TAXI.
I recommend this hotel strongly. You won't be disappointed." |

| "The first impression about this place is space. There is plenty, the rooms are large enough to hold a dance for 6 people, so it's great for families with kids. The decos
at the lobby is very traditional and interesting but the arrangement lacks warmth because there is so much space again. Breakfast is satisfactory , again the arrangement of the meal area is canteen like but tolerable.
I like the pool , it's exotic and very relaxing.
You need to catch a cab to Pattaya and it takes 5 mins at a cost of 50 baht per person.
Staff are friendly and polite but lacks enthusiasm, you need to ask for coffee. All in all I rate this 3 and half stars.

| "A beautiful resort in an excellent location opposite Jomtien Beach, a 10 baht taxi ride to Pattaya, and close to a variety of restaurants. The pool and facilities are spacious and quite beautiful." |

| "we enjoyed our stay . the only criticism we would have is that there is no list of what services the hotel offers other than where you go for breakfast. An example would be do they have an internet service as in a computer for guests use etc." |

| "Great resort hotel w/ stylish thai decoration
Very beautiful & large swimming pool
Close to the Jomtien Beach (just cross the private car rd)
Around 10 mins to city, free shuttle service (by golf car) to/ from main rd for 20baht tuk tuk
Large, clean & beautiful room w/ lovely balcony
Friendly hotel staff provide excellent service, would offer welcome drink (Pena Leaf ~ taste good) & orchid while check in
Breakfast buffet is remarkable, w/ many dif. choices & taste very good
Regret just stay 2 nights only
Would love to return in short peroid of time >O" |

| "Male staff were excellent but the female staff were not up to the standard of their male counterpart at Avalon
In Bangkok at the Novotel both men and female staff ranked equally as good
It would be better if the hotel had an International Clientel one clientel dominated " |

| "I had a deluxe twin room overlooking the pool on the top floor. The room was very large with good storage space for clothes.
The best thing about this hotel is it's location which is beach front at Dongtan Beach. A short walk along the beach walkway to Jomtien shops and restaurants. It is a 10bhat ride in a bhat bus over the hill to Pattaya proper.
The hotel is kept spotless and is only two years old. I did not eat any meals other than breakfast which had a good choice. I consider the prices for other meals at this hotel expensive when compared with the large number of restaurants at hand nearby. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and any one who wants a hotel with easy access from the beach and shops." |
