| "We were pleasantly surprised at the value of the hotel, we arrived late and were upgraded to a poolside room which was lovely. Great size room, good bathroom (including a private outdoor shower with multiple jets), lovely and clean with a large comfortable bed and a flat screen plasma tv with many channels. Hotel staff were great, very helpful in providing information about taxis and costs to get to Bangkok airport. Only downside, we had some washing to be done and because we had arrived late at the hotel, they advised us that there would be a higher cost. 18 items cost approx AU$70 which was very expensive! Elsewhere in Thailand and Indonesia, we had paid about $8 for the same amount. Apart from this, the hotel was great, its not bang smack in the middle of the busy part of Pattaya but for some, this is a good thing. A tuk-tuk ride to the busy beachfront and shopping only cost 100 Baht (about $3 Australian). I would stay here again and would recommend it to others. Breakfast was great too, very plentiful and fresh. " |

| "Royal Orchid Resort is located in a quiet neighbourhood with the beach around the corner and walking distance to everything else you need - bars, restaurants, the shopping district and all other facilities you can think of.
The rooms are very clean, luxurious and spacious and furnished with style and class - flat screen TV, electronic safe and a mini bar, the pool is located just outside the door
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet had everything you can whish for.
Overall a well managed resort and the stay was a lovely experience! I would highly recommend Royal Orchid Resort to others.

| "hey, Ivé just read Mr Guggemoos reviews about this hotel, nothing I have read could be more false. We stayed in this hotel last year (7 adult + 2 children). The warmth, kindness and service from the staff was perfect. Everything was nearby; beach 5 min the center of Pattaya 15 min. It is a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. I can read between the lines that Mr Guggemoos have had some other problems and write this review in anger. I can highley recommend this hotel to anyone. Make it your first choice." |

| "I am travelling now very often in Asia. I never had such a bad experience. I ask the hotel staff, how far it is by taxi to the nearby beach. They said 35 to 40 minutes. I ask for a meter taxi, they answered not available in Pattaya.The gave me a hotel taxi for 500 Baht. The beach was 5 minutes away, the normal fare would have been not more than 50 baht.
The greedey hotel staff refused to get a meter taxi, which are, as we found later out , everywhere available.
The staff was unfriendly and the cleaning staff searched our lugguage. The breakfast room was poor furnished and the buffet below quality.
Stay away from this hotel." |
