This is what we think:
The old part of the hotel, were we had rooms was in very bad shape. But we still think that it`s a good hotel. The kleening of the rooms was very good. The next time we travel to Thailand we would like to stay at White House Resort, but want to stay at the new part of the hotel.

"Nice Hotel so stay near the beach with two pools. Room service does not determine between "make up room" and "do not disturb" sign, all signs are treated as "do not disturb". Good valiue for money. Only hassle is the tailor shop near the outdoorbreakfeast restaurant. Breakfeast buffet is somewhat good, Thai and european style mixed. Joners fee of 500 Bht recently introduced."

"I stayed here once before in 2005 when I needed somewhere to stay while buying a condo in Jomtien. It was ok on that occasion but it really has gone to seed now. The place is pretty run down to say the least and the bathroom was shoddy. The only reason I stayed (despite all the previous bad reviews here) was that I knew I only needed a place on the baht bus route to put my head down for one night. Believe me the reviews you have read are a very reliable picture of the place. If you're male then getting to/from Beach Rd from the hotel entails a 75 metre 'ho-hurdle'. If you're ugly and new to Thailand and like the novelty of being pawed by (albeit very sexy and scantily clad) Thai girls then it's a positive boon. If you're a regular visitor looking for R&R then you'll know that the novelty eventually wears thin and becomes a pain. Therefore a hotel for one night, the budget backpacker or those not prone to mozzy bites. On a good note the staff are obviously honest and kept a pair of trousers I forgot for two days. "

" After some of the reviews I read, I wondered if there were two White House hotels in Pattaya. My young son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel complex is rather large so you do have to walk a bit to the main road, but no big deal. There is a guantlet of bars that you have to pass through also to get to Jomtien Beach Road, but it's not a big deal either, you're in Thailand. The room was a good size as was the bathroom, both being clean. The price was excellent, good value for your money. For a budget traveller you can't find a better deal. Good swimming at the beach and lots of places to eat close by."
