"We went to Phuket twice, and finally we found out our favorite and the most suitable place. Yes, here, Mom Tri's Villa Royal! Thanks for everything from great view of Andaman sea from our suit room (No.9), nice and calm location covered with deep green, southeast asian jungle taste botanical garden. And fine art of cooking and wine at Mom Tri's Kitchen. Thanks for all of your staffs, they are well trained and made us comfortable during our stay!"

"Great personal service! We found our room loud because of the badly balanced air conditioner next door. Were instantly offered a different room (later we decided to move back to the original one missing the plunge pool) and later given a free dinner and hour massage per person for free. Nicely dealt with. Excellent restaurant and wine list! "

"Stayed in the Doa A Dung room for 4 nights in early May for our honeymoon. The room itself was massive and very nice with views out to the sea. The service on the whole was quite good, however some of the receptionists were not the friendliest of people (dependant on the person - another one was very friendly and quite helpful). We had stayed at the Holiday Inn in a main wing seaview deluxe room for 4 nights just prior to our stay at Mom Tri Villa Royale. Although both were luxurious, the accommodations were quite different in style. Some notable contrasts were: - no large screen tv in Mom Tri Villa (it rained during 2 days so we spent a bit of time in our room) - the shower was no where near as nice as the one in the Holiday Inn deluxe room - all drinks, snacks, etc, were chargable (Holiday Inn deluxe room drinks were free and refilled daily - a nice touch) Apart from that, the food was noticably better at Mom Tri Villa, although some may argue that dinner prices are slightly expensive, which are also the same prices when you order food at the poolside bar during the day. There is also a small library to borrow books, movies, music and it also has a pc for free usage by guests (including internet access), which was quite useful. There was good walking access to Kata Noi beach, however it is via a path containing many steps, so this may challenge the not so able. Overall an excellent location where I wouldn't hesitate to stay once again for a romantic getaway!"

Comments:

I cannot speak highly enough of Mom Tri Villa Royale. My wife and I paid close attention to other reviews of this hotel before booking and they were mostly spot on....even the negative ones. Of course, you are always going to get unhappy complainers even in heaven, but I raise this point because the hotel is not ideal for families with small children or for people who have difficulty climbing steps etc, so it is certainly not all things to all men. However, the hotel is an absolute gem for those who love to experience the culture, ambiance and the aesthetic atmosphere of an exotic country. It is quiet and peaceful, friendly and relaxed. Mom Tri Villa Royale is perfectly located on a rocky outcrop in between two bays, with fabulous views of Kata Noi beach. We stayed in one of the beach suites and whilst not being the most modern room in the world, it had a lovely charm all of it’s own and the sound of the water lapping on the rocks below was a constant reminder of how close we were to the Andaman Sea. The delightful layout of the hotel, whilst not being simple, provides beautiful nooks and crannies to enjoy, including infinity pools on three levels and various sun decks, with natural shade. The spa is separate from the main hotel and our complimentary massage was marvellous. The staff are efficient, helpful and always cheerful, behaving more like a family than employees. The cuisine is wonderful and although not cheap by any standards, it was the best we experienced in Phuket. We will definitely return...soon I hope!
