Absolutely very good value vor money: excellent location (very private and yet town accessible by 5-10 min walk), very friendly service, good facilities, very good breakfast buffet, wonderful view over the water and Patong bay. Rooms a bit small but location hardly to top in Patong. Rates on Asiarooms.com make this little oasis amongs the hustle and bustle of Patong my favourite and if I had to come back to this very package-touristy town (I won't) I'd defintely stay there again. Thanks.

| "It was an overall pleasant staying experience at the Amari Coral Beach Resort. The service staff were attentive, the rooms clean and spacious, the breakfast was quite good. Although the bathroom was clean (but small), the bath towels were stained. However, we got replacement towels promptly. The pool is a tad small but clean and nice. About a 10-15min leisure stroll to the main Patong drag which is good for those who want to get away from the crowded Patong area." |

| "Our stay in the hotel was most enjoyable. On the whole it can't be faulted, and really the two biggest things we didn't like were no fault of the hotel staff:
1) Stairs. Lots of them. The hotel is built onto a hill, so it's no good for anyone who has trouble with stairs. We are in our mid 20's and even we found the climbing pretty tiring.
In defence of the hotel they do have lifts/elevators, but these don't cover the whole site - some of the facilities and rooms are only accessible via stairs.
2) Taxi/Tuk-Tuk serice at the hotel.
Very bizzarely the price is always 200 Baht to go anywhere in town.
Not only is this an expensive rate, but it also doesn't matter whether you just want to go to the bottom of the hill (2 mins) or right into the centre.
There is a one-way traffic system all the way around Patong - so you can understand why they would charge you if they have to cover the distance anyway.
But to charge you to pop down the hill and back at the full rate (never entering the one way system) is ridiculous.
(You'll understand what i mean when you get there)
My feeling is that the hotel management could have done a little bit more to negotiate with the taxi drivers on this point. Or here's a novel idea: Why not lay on a shuttle bus!!!
Despite the negative points above, everything else was absolutely perfect. I would recommend this hotel to friends." |

| "The view on arrival and our first drink at the bar, overlooking the bay,was the perfect start to our stay.
Excellent hotel in a fantastic location, overlooking Patong Bay.Only 5 minute walk to the centre of Patong Bay,but well worth it for the views from the hotel.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was always something to look forward too.Two pool areas that were always clean, both with views over the bay.Treat yourself to the La Gritta restaurant on the final night, the perfect way to end your holiday. We will definitely stay at the Amari again.

| "The location is very good, the view from the rooms is beautiful (only when the tide is high, though, otherwise the beach looks awfully dirty at low tide),especially the jetty is very nice, but the rest of the resort is only average for that price. Food is so so, and the service at the restaurants is rather bad. The Thai restaurant is not really Thai, it's rather fusion, only the Italian one is adequate. The worst is the seafood buffet of Wednesday night, it's overpriced and the seafood is NOT even fresh, it seemed like they just pull all the leftover of the week into that buffet, very disappointing for the price you pay. I would recommend only if you dont plan to eat at the hotel. " |
