| "The original plan was to stay 3 days then discover other places... we ended up staying 10 days.
We were very nicely surprised by the location (15 min by long tail boat from Chalong Pier, Phuket).
Koh Lone is not a very advertised island which gives you the advantage of privacy and quiet. We were able to combine for our honey moon romance, tourism and sport (diving).
The staff were extremely nice eventhough we struggled to communicate in the absence of the hotel manager but in the end we learnt a few thai words.
Google earth gives a good view on the location.

| "We arrived at Baan Mai and it was definitly what we needed after some chaos days in Bangkok. It was a quite and wonderful island 20 min by boat from Phuket. We were the only guests (low season) at the hotel and all the very friendly staff was only serving our needs. It is the best place to relaxe, cause no telefon and tv were at the rooms. But you can have a shower under plams. The bungalows are 20 meters away from the beach. You will lie on your veranda lazy or between the trees in the hammock. You could choose between french and thai cousine and both tasted very good. Around the island are some nice places to go diving or snorkeling. The watertaxi by longtailboat is a included service by the hotel.
A pool is also there." |

the beach is not very good for swimming , many stones

| "I stayed at the Baan Mai during low season. My cottage faced the ocean and I often spend my days and evenings on my deck or on a hammock just outside my door overlooking the ocean and enjoying the scenery. I had the run of the place and was treated like royalty. Although I was there by myself while my husband was on a business trip, I would absolutely return with my husband and we are planning to do so. The cottage was the perfect size, the bathroom was very comfortable, and it was great having an outdoor private bathroom. I loved the fact that there are no phones or TV's in the cottages. I never felt unsafe and received valuable tips and recommendations from the staff and caretaker. For those of you who are looking for a place to get away total relaxation, this is definitely the place." |

| "Party animals beware. If your idea of night life is loud bars with crowded venues ,this is not your type of resort.Stay on the main island. But,if you are looking for a quiet, secluded location with romantic bungalows this is your paradise!
The accomadations are quaint and more than adequate. Baan Mai has the charm that heals the spirit and scenery that inspires the imagination. And you will need your imagination as there are no televisions or radios to clutter the atmosphere.Truly restful.
The friendly staff there are eager to serve and never without a smile. The menu and food preparation is first rate and We highly recommend the Phuket lobster.
Although it is away from the din of the main island, a 15 min. fasttail boat ride will drop you off at the Chalong Pier where a taxi is always waiting to wisk you away to anywhere you wish to explore. The Phuket Fantasea is a must! Dont leave witout seeing it!
Our vacation there was very relaxing and we hated having to leave.
We will most definetely return!
