| "Clean, nice cosy room and conveniently located(neither too far to the shopping area/convenient store/patong beach nor too near the noisy nite scene). Suitable for us because we're early sleepers. cheers!" |

| "Room was big and comfortable. Bathroom was very basic but good enough for the price. Swimming pool is really small, so don't expect too much. It's a short walk from the main stretch but in general is fine. good value for money." |

| "Absolutely loved it! fantastic location, great access to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars, night life, great to have its own selection of little bars as well.
Staff were really friendly and helpful, always smiling everyday, no matter what the time of day or night!
Great facilities, enjoyed the food. Bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated and immaculatly clean.
If I visit Phuket again and I wouldnt stay anywhere else.

| "When we arrived at 3pm our assigned room was still not cleaned so they upgraded us which was nice. But they forgot to tell reception so getting the key for the room after we went out was a hassle.
The lift was not working to get to the restaurant on the fifth floor.
Generally the service was poor to incompetent, they were slow at doing everything and generally had to be asked more then 3 times. I would not recommend this place for that fact.
The rooms were actually quite nice and they were clean though." |

| "The Bel Aire rooms are big and kept very clean, room 411s bathroom had the shower just as you walk in so the floor is always wet after a person taking a shower, not very good for someone wanting to use the loo.
The biggest problem with the hotel and especially room at the main road end is noise. You get traffic noise most of the night, the big Harley type motor bike are very noisy. Bars in the court yard don't close untill 2am and then an ajacent cafe opens at 6am with lots of loud music and youngsters screaming. We moved room to get away from the road and cafe and managed to get one nights undisturbed sleep, the last night was the worse with lots of drunken people coming back and continuing their parties in the rooms. The rooms only have one key with the fob operating the power supply, if one of those sharing a room returns early the other party then hammers on the door to wake them up and in turn wakes up the rest of the floor.
Not a fault of the hotel but the new one-way traffic system is causing problems with taking a taxi, in that a 10 min taxi ride now can take 30 mins or so as the taxi's now have to do a full circle. Care now must be taken to sort out the route you need to take." |

| "Stayed at Bel Aire Resort for 1 week in Jan 2007. Umfortunately not a pleasant stay for my friend and I. Staff were very uncooperative, who spoke little English which led to them just hanging up on me everytime I called reception. Paid 500BHT for internet over 3 days, found out it was for 24hrs and the entire time the hotels network provider was down so couldn't access, we were advised to buy new credit! There is free wireless just at the cafe outside the hotel we later found out! The noise from the bar huts outside was unbeleivable to 2am and later most mornings, even earplugs didn't block it out. No hot water for 2 days in the bathroom. Had to ask for toilet paper more than once and fresh towels from room service people who weren't very helpful or friendly either. Breakfast was ok...nothing to rave about. Central area, but the pool is more like a 3 person spa with no bubbles! Would not stay here again." |

| "The Bel Aire was great for what we were loolking for. 1 Block from the beach and right in the heart of Patong beach area. Plently of restaurants and shopping near by. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were particularly impressed by the availablilty to had a shower (towels available) and change before we went to the airport on our last day even though we had apready checked out that morning. Happy to recommend and happy to return" |
