| "I booked a Superior Room. I guess for the rates I am paying the room is decent. I got a room facing the shops, so the view was not good, in addition to the noise coming from construction at the shops. Main discomfort is that the mattress is too hard, feels as though there's a plank of wood with only some beddings on top. Also, they do not provide bedroom slippers. It would be nice to have a pair to slip into at the end of the day. The water from the taps is yellow in colour and there are lots of ants on the table. Overall ok and value for money, though I would say the exterior certainly looks more impressive than the rooms inside. Breakfast was quite good though. Also, this hotel is located at Karon beach, with less of the bustle compared to Patong. If you want a plca away from the crowds, this is fine. For families, there is a pool just for kids and a kids' room. However, if you want more nightlife, food variety and entertainment, Patong beach would be a better choice. " |

| "I stayed for 10 days late June 08 in low season and got a very good rate, so my experience was real value for money. The hotel is pretty impressive- I had what I assume was the lowest grade room which was still nice, modern, clean, well-equipped and had a sea view. The hotel facilities are excellent, the staff very friendly and attentive. The Cervantes spa is everything a spa should be, and the free jacuzzi is worth a visit. Each of the pool areas are well run by friendly and enthusiastic staff, in particular the Terraces barman Darunee is a gem!
The gym was being refit when I was there so there was a small temporary one, not too big a deal.
My only concerns were
1. the layout of the hotel allows it to get wet inside when raining which makes the floor slippery (I learnt that the hard way).
2. the surrounding area of Karon beach was not the tranquil getaway I was hoping for- however this just meant I spent more time enjoying the hotel facilities, which includes a pretty good variety of bars, restaurants, room service menu etc.The drinks are not cheap compared to some of the surrounding bars, but there are plenty of happy hour offers to soften the blow.
I'd definitely go back for the hotel itself, but maybe not the location, the smaller islands are more my style. " |

| "I had a room with an ocean view. The room was of a good size. The bathroom however was a little small and there was no bathtub...only a shower. The view of the ocean from the room was nice.
The resort is well spaced out and the facilities are adequate. There was a mention that the hotel has a pool table but we did not manage to find it.
There were many shops nearby to cater to the tourists who are staying as there are quite a few hotels nearby. To go to the ocean, its a 5-7minutes walk and we found quite there are hotels along the road which is just next to the beach. Wished I was staying in one of those hotels. However, if you do not want to pay too much, then the Centara hotel/resort is of good value with adequate facilities and close enough to the ocean to enjoy the beach

| "I didn't feel this hotel lived up to its 4 star status. The staff were not very welcoming and, on one occasion, quite rude." |

| "We booked the Terrace Ocean View Room and stayed for 1 night. The room decor is zen-style,very nice, but TV is not working very well. The toilet is spacious and clean of cos, however,no bathtub. The bed was big & comfortable. What we didn't like was the sea view we expected from balcony was not as nice as we expected,as Centara Karon is around 5min walk to beach. So,We went to look at other room types and decided to upgrade to a deluxe Room facing the pool. The room is bigger and nicer and upgrading fee is reasonable as we went during low season(June).
Facilities wise, we enjoyed the pool and the Cenvaree Spa is pretty good,we took couple spa package and the price is reasonable. We enjoyed our stay there.

| "I booked two superior rooms at centara karon.. mostly because of the low price in off-season. It turned out to be a waste of money. Karon beach probably is not the best place to stay during off-season as it is quite difficult to get transportation to/fro from patong (which is the center of all activity).
the beach itself is good, but other options like shopping, entertainment or even food is very very limited
The rooms are okay, clean and just about adaequate. (The bathrooms though have yellowish water which maybe a problem of the entire area). There is nothing extraordinary to mention abt the rooms really. It is fair value to what you pay for.
Will probably be staying closer toPatong beach next time" |

| "Excellent hotel and service is impeccable. My corner room request and late check-out was fulfilled. The hotel is near a few tour agencies where we booked our airport transfer back and great restaurants. Very convenient and a nice 3min walk to the beach. Overall, it was a lovely experience and I would definately stay here again. A shout out to the staff Mr Yuttapoom who attended to all my request smoothly! No problem with language barrier here." |

| "Lovely hotel with v. friendly staff, breakast, although it was a buffet didn't change menu in 2 weeks but not too bad as the island is v. cheap. The only real downside is you can find it difficult to communicate with the staff as they do not speak v. much english and as we did not speak any Thai found it a problem when trying to explain things.
Overall though would definately recommend this hotel and would love to go back again. " |
