I hae travelled throughout Thailand several times now. My family were celebrating a special event and a large group of us were ataying at the Deevana. There are several wings, new/old parts gto the hotel. The rooms are very noisy and have lights poorly postioned where they shine through your bedroom window. There are 3 large pools which are a drawcard. Breakfast is very boring - no bacon. Small daily changes are made with a large emphasis on pastry such as doughnuts. The hotl has a very stale/cold feeling it seems to lack the traditional warm Thai vibe that many other hotels excel in. If you do want to travel to Phuket keep in mind there is constant industrial work going on all over the island. It is no longer the quiet island it once was. The final disappointing straw at the Deevana was charging our family who were spread out over four rooms, the cost of a missing teaspoon. When we explained it could have been in several other rooms staff were boarding rude and unhelpful. A very disappointing end to our trip, considering our extensive stay there. No members of our family group will be returning there.

| "i stayed in August 08 in one of the rooms fronting the main road. Not noisy. Good sized rooms. Cleaning is done quite satifactorily. Location of the hotel is very good, many shops and bars behind the hotel complex. Staff are friendly but seem to lack motivation to their tasks. The internet facility was a wireless and only available in the lobby area which was always noisy and quite hot in the afternoon sun which beams directly in at that time. The pool is perhaps the best feature of the hotel and of excellent design. prices seem reasonable but like all hotels, added tax and service charges can deceive. I would stay there again. I wonder what will happen when the Marriott (opposite) opens?" |

| "Overall hotel is good but they will need to bark up on the customer service. The waitress in the coffeeshop is rude. When we want to order or request something, they will show their dislikeness or irritating face. Please adapt the smile culture, visitors will be happily visit the hotel again. Thank you to the helpdesk, our flights delay but we can't extend the room because it is fully booked. We have been provided a room for us to take the shower. This is one of the good service provided by the hotel. " |

| "We booked the trip knowing that we had eserved a budget room in a good establishment. The service was great and the room and breakfast was what we expected, there were no dissapointments.
The only bizzare event was the amount of kittens that were at the establishment, if you left your door open they would come inside and go through looking for food or drink, but iotherwise I would like to thank all the Staff there for a great memorable trip." |

| "We spend our vacation during the end of July 08.Parents and two children. We took the garden wing room. The hotel is beautiful. It was importent for us to have an hotel with a Thai style and this one was really oriental. It has green beautiful gardends,3 swimming pools and a nice loby and resturant. The rooms were big enough but decorated very poor and the water pressure in the bathroom were low. The biggest disadvantage of the hotel to my opinion is that the loby and the resturant are not air-conditioned. Except that the location is very good and very close to the beach ,only 10 minutes walk, the breakfast was very rich and tasty the service was very good and the staff were kind and helped us as much as we needed.
As I see it this hotel is a good family choice and I recommend you to try.

| "Great place, excellent location in the heart of patong, easy access to food, entertainment and shopping.
Definitely stay at the spa wing, not the garden.
I enjoyed the pool bar!" |
