We have just completed our third stay at this hotel and once again our stay was a wonderful experience. The location is good in that it is off the main street (about 250 metres)with a walk to the beach of about 800 metres total. At the bottom of the street are open air restaurants with plent of variety. A 10 minute walk to to the beach and about 15 minutes to Bangla Road and JungCeylon
We stayed in the Spa wing and had our own spa directly outside the room. The water was warm unlike our last stay around December when the weather was cooler as was the spa temperature. Our room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom all although it did have a slightly musty smell which I have found common in Thailand, no doubt due to the climate. We had a chance to look at the garden view rooms and they seemed quite good considering their price.
Breakfast was of good quality with the menu changing slightly each day. We noticed there was no bacon and I asked the chef one morning why and it seems that the cost has skyrocketed. Apart from that we found the breakfast very good. We also had the seafood buffet which was good value for money
The most enjoyable part of our stay, was our interaction with the staff. We found them to be friendly and obliging patricularly our waitress, Monrudee (who has now left the hotel and the 4 "Rats" at reception. All ladies with "rat" in their christian names and the bell boys.) While some of the staff have trouble with their english, I have more trouble with my Thai, but I know that if you learn a few simple words you will have a very enjoyable stay, remember there are so many english accents for the staff to try and understand.
Once again a great stay at the Deevana and looking forward to our next stay

| "This is a very good value for money hotel. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful well maintained garden, had an impressive entrance, courteous staff and offers a massage to die for. I chose this hotel for its Thai theme structure and its distance away from main Patong yet just a walking distance from main shopping centre. Lots of choices for breakfast and at least one new menu is added and changed each day. Eggs, waffles, pancakes and doughnuts are cooked in front of you. Beautiful and relaxing music is played while you're dining.
The only negative comment I can think is that on top of compulsory tax (around 7%), 10% service charge is added to your bill when you dined in the restaurant (not on breakfast). Also when I retrieve my stuff from the safety deposit box, they forgot to give me back the money I deposited for its use. I have to ring and reminded them as we already checked out. But it was an honest mistake.

| "The hotel was great. We selected a Deluxe Spa wing room. Please don't go for any other option like the Garden wing because it has nothing really. It had a great buffet breakfast with loads of variety. The location of the hotel is perfect and not to close too the business and not too quiet. Please be weary of when buying tickets to PHI PHI island because you can end up on a ferry. The offer says luxury but be sure of what you are buying. We met a great taxi driver that will be willing to pick you up from the airport and show you around. You need someone you can trust as the tour companies are out to make as much money from you as possible. His number is +66 870581754. That is his mobile number but call him anytime. He is called Mr Is. Please take not of any timeshare companies. It can be a major waste ot time. " |

| "Enjoyed a 6 night stay at Deevana in mid August and loved every minute of it. We had a ground floor room with a jacuzzi and it was worth paying a few pounds more (although the jacuzzi is a little chilly after a night of heavy rain fall, it soon warms up again)
The room was spacious, had all the amenities you could need and looked straight out on to the large spa wing pool. The bathroom had a good sized shower / wet room although the sliding glazed window onto the bedroom meant a little less privacy than I would have liked!
The whole complex was kept neat and tidy and all the staff were very attentive and polite. The front of house staff spoke English
The breakfast was your normal fare of eggs, sausages, toast, fried rice, noodles etc but tasty none the less. We went to the Seafood Buffet which cost about £10 pp and stuffed ourselves with shrimps, king prawns, mussels etc. Definitely worth every penny.
The location was excellent as it was nice and peaceful lounging by the pool but also only a 10 minute walk or quick "tuk tuk" ride to the beach or nightlife. All in all, would definitely go back again." |

| "The location of the hotel is good since it's off from the main road. There's a road leading up only to this hotel and a building nearby. We've booked a triple room in the spa wing. To our disappointment, the room is small and there's no bath tub! The spa wing building is built in a U shape surrounding the swimming pool, you can very easily see what the other people doing in the rooms facing you since all the glass of windows is see-through and there is no light curtain. In order to have a bit of privacy, you need to use the thick curtain even during the day time. We don't like the swimming pool in the spa wing at all. Although I have read some bad comments about the rooms in the garden wing, I preferred better the area and the swimming pool over there. It's much quiet and relaxing. " |
