| "I travelled on my own and found the resort was so self contained I did not need to leave for anything. However, it appeared I was the only one on my own which was a pity as I had hoped to meet others.
It is a small distance away from the closest town, just a bit too far to walk on your own (as a female), which was a shame as I would have liked to have gone out for dinner at one of the local restaurants.
Otherwise, resort itself is beautiful, grounds superb, staff very friendly. " |

| "This was our first booking with Asia Rooms & we will certainly use them again. We had no hickup's upon checkin at the hotel and we found that the rates were better than any we could find(not bad, considering some of our party are in the industry). This hotel is absolutely wonderful. There were 6 of us who stayed here for 10 days in January 08. We had deluxe sea view rooms and they are lovely. The resort is truly beautiful, the infinity pool is one of the nicest pools we've ever experienced & Bonn Island is just an added bonus. The staff are all extremely friendly & helpful despite their sometimes limited english. The Restaurants can be a little expensive, but the food is great. Make sure that you have a massage in the outdoor sala's at the day spa, just to experience the beautiful surroundings of Phuket's southern shoreline. We also did the day trip to Phi Phi, which is well worth it. The hotel is approx. 40 mins to Patong by Taxi, which is not a bad thing, it's nice to stay away from the noise. Fantastic Holiday / Fantastic Resort - Thank you Evason.

| "My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Evason. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The buffet breakfast was sensational as was the dining experience in Into the Med. The abilility to cruise over to Bon island on any given day was a real bonus. The horizon pool is outstanding and has an amazing backdrop. Fortunately, the weather was kind to us for the five days we stayed.
The six senses spa was a bit of a let down. I had two Oriental massages and they were both different in terms of technique & pressure.
We will most likely choose another destination for our next annual holiday.
Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
Regards,
Samantha & Wayne Taranto

| "We stayed the second time in the Evason and we enjoyed it. The quality of service is top-class, so all facilities. We had a small complain about carpenter works in the neighbour room due to smell of furnace and were immediatly upgraded to a Junior suite. The location is far away from the tourist hot spots like Patong and Karon, so a real good place to relax. " |

| "Hotel
Generally, this hotel is nice and has a different concept.
Staff & Services
In terms of staff and services, I would at least expect from this five star resort to provide good service and friendly staff. They are not just unhelpful and rigid, they also lacked in English proficiency. The shuttle service provided by the hotel is also expensive considering lower Thailand's cost of living in this region. The shuttle service back from town was always at least 20mins late to pick up guests and lamented that it was due to traffic. Not very nice when it is the last shuttle as well!
Food
I would rate the restaurant food “2”. The thai food served in different restaurants within the hotel was simple below standard. We were very disappointed as we look forward to having authentic thai food while we enjoying our holiday.
Overall
I will not go back to this resort again as it is not worth the money.

| "Getting a little old and interiors of room look a little dated. For a 5 star hotel, could do with a touch up, although we did stay in the base room as were using the hotel as a stop over hotel. Maybe the more prestige rooms were nicer. " |

| "Stayed here in August 2007. Comments about the place been a bit worn are true but really didn't bother us. Walkways etc have wooden planking/handrails looking a bit tired but worked fine and weren't flaking, merely 'distressed' as the antique dealers call it. (They're in the sun!!)
Room choice may matter. Level 5 gives decent sea views from most rooms and is fairly convenient for breakfast/beach.
The Evason 'touch' is much in evidence. Visited the place years ago before Evason took over and the difference is enormous. Lobby bar is a good hangout, the two newer pools attractive, food massively better, indeed as good as we have had for a while in SE Asia (and we live in Singapore).
Pool areas were busy after breakfast but settled down quickly later on. Staff were very attentive to find vacant loungers, etc by infinity pool. Place was very busy with two weddings going on with consequently many guests. Didn't visit the (criticised in other reviews) family pool but infinity pool was pleasant if small and acted as a nice focal point. Garden pool was shady and very cut off from the resort by shrubbery and trees, nice ambience.
Clientele was mixed, many younger European and Antipodean couples, others more our advanced middle age. Entertaining crowd. Site is very hilly and despite very frequent bus from pools/beach to lobby and lobby bar etc it would be a chore for anyone really unfit and pointless for anyone somewhat disabled (e.g. arthritic)
The restaurants overlooking the beach, and the bar, were fine. Breakfast was a bit of a zoo but the food on offer was good and varied. Evening meals were always good and frequently truly excellent, whether Thai or European. Style of buffet changed every night. We never had it because after one evening each at the Thai and Mediterranean restaurants we wanted to work our way through the menu.
Didn't visit Bon Island this time, too busy unwinding and being romantic.
It's not 5-star, it's not Banyan tree, it may not be the best Evason, (Hua Hin is more famously stylish???) but it's good. It re-energised two 50++s, so it did what it should." |

| "The resort was great. The room was slightly small.
Service was great.
The hotel is a bit far from the main areas in Phuket however, this can be a good thing for tourists who want some privacy.
I thought that internet connection was too pricey.
Also expect to pay 5-star prices to anything that is not included in the package. " |
