It was one of Hilton hotel, no more, no less.
Had to cross the road to get to the beach.
Too wide to look arround for a 2 yr old kid and a pregnant wife.

| "Wonderful hotel, set in amazing landscaped grounds, on the quiet Karon Beach. The staff were fantastic, the room perfectly clean (a nice touch: face towels folded into the shape of a little elephant in the bathroom). Far to Patong and to expensive to go everyday, but plenty of restaurants, shops and massages within walking distance. Great beach, several pools to choose from within the hotel complex, great gym and steam/sauna room. Highly recommended!
Note - the trips to Phi Phi/Maya may disappoint - the bays are beautiful but very crowded, dozens of speedboats and full of tourists, not the secluded paradise that you see on films)." |

| "Very relaxing holiday, very large hotel with beautiful gardens, we stayed in the Lotus Room with a Deluxe sea view, very nice to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset each evening.
The Italian restaurant was closed because it is off peak, but we ate at the other two restaurants and enjoyed a very nice meal, although it is much cheaper to eat outside. There are plenty of restaurants for a ten minute walk away. Even though it is the rainy season it only rained at night and early morning for our stay and we were able to use the pools every day.
The Hilton breakfast is very good with a huge selection of dishes, and we used room service a few times and the quality was great." |

| "Stayed at Hilton Arcadia from May 20 to May 24, 2009. Check-in was quick and the staff was courteous and efficient. Had booked a Deluxe Garden view room but was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to an Ocean View room on the 7th floor of Lotus wing. The room was beautifully appointed, had a wooden floor and an excellent view of the ocean across the lovely grounds. The only minor negative was the bed which, although quite comfortable, was not truly a King-size bed but seemed to be two beds joinded together covered by a thin sheet.
The breakfast buffet had a wide choice of Western and Asian items, including fruits, cereals, breads, etc., and one had the option of taking it sitting outside next to a small lagoon or inside the dining hall. Did not have any other meals at the hotel as there are excellent and more economical choices available at many restaurants just a short 10 minute walk on the beach road. (On getting out of the hotel on beach road, turn right towards Karon or left towards Kata and to find restaurants, shops and convenience stores in both areas). Karon beach is just across the street.
The hotel is spread over 75 acres and one can enjoy long walks within the hotel on walk-ways along well maintained gardens, pools and lagoons. The size of the hotel also means the very elderly may feel inconvenienced by long distances between various facilities of the hotel.
Overall, this is an excellent resort suitable for families as well as those who are looking for a quite, comfortable and relaxing stay in a beautiful, scenic location." |

| "Wonderful experience in this resort, staff were all helpful and polite. The swimming pools were wonderful, esp. for kids and the ambience is perfect. The only down point is the cost and behaviour of tuk tuks. The location of this resort is ideal for getting away from crowds and busy beaches but it also means we have to take tuk tuk to wherever we want to go for meals. Tuk tuks are a rip off and some are very rude and offensive too. proper taxis are a better way of getting around esp. if the destinations are further away." |
