The Plantation Villa we occupied was a pleasant mix of Aman and Banyan Tree in layout and decor, with superior lighting for ageing eyes.
Black Ginger's haute Thai cuisine was very enjoyable although we had to ask for speedier service as we were ready to fall asleep, having just arrived from the airport. Having to leave our shoes outside the restaurant was a surprise and awkward only because there was no place to sit in a dignified manner while putting them back on.
In-Di-Go Spa was very good.
Overall, we had an enjoyable stay.

| "The hotel design and decor makes it really unique It's has lovely - sprawling gardens, great ID for the whole property and great pools. The more senior service staff renders good service. However, the Kelly Quarters which we booked into was small. The bathroom wass the bane of my frustration. Can't have a decent shower without the water splattering all over as only a tiny sheet of glass acts as the shower cubicle (and I'm am a small-size Asian lady)!" |

| "A very beautifull hotel with an original design. During my stay in Cambodia and Thailand I stayed in several different hotels and this one was clearly the best with beautiful rooms, gardens and swimming pools. Only the beach is average. The one closest to the hotel is a bit dirty but you can reach a cleanier part (the hotel's beach club) walking for 5 min or taking the free hotel tuk-tuk. Althou the hotel restaurants are a bit expensive there are several cheap places to eat at the beach." |

| "Design and layout of hotel fantastic. Beds really comfy with lovely feather mattress toppers and duvets and excellent quality sheets - that you can have changed daily if you wish. Could do with a few more hooks in bathroom to hang bathrobes/toilet bags on. Access to the internet and to music/movies in rooms as we had at our previous hotel would be good.
Staff very attentive. Water and fruit at poolside is a nice touch. Food in all of the restaurants very good, if a little pricey, especially once you add on tax and service charge. I was shocked to be charged 10% service charge for an already expensive massage at indigo spa as surely I was already paying for a service.
Grounds and pools fantastic and beautifully kept. Beach was nice apart from all the rubbish washed up, although this was less the further you walked along the beach. All in all a really enjoyable and relaxing stay." |

| "Not really a fan of Phuket and used it as a stopover. I have to say though what a fabulous hotel. The weather was bad when we were there so we were a little stuck in the hotel. The food is fabulous and there many different restaurants with different atmospheres to choose from in the evening. The swimming pools and layout of the grounds are wonderful and the imagination that has gone into designing the place has to be beheld. Pearl rooms are a little expensive by Thai standards but worth it." |
