My wife & I enjoyed our 3 night stay in Phuket. It was a lovely touch with the heart shape flowers on the bed and the entire room & bathroom were decorated with flower petals. My wife loved it. The smile on my wife's face when we entered the room is priceless.
We had the room facing the swimming pool. I believe that's the BEST view of the entire hotel. Thanks again for your recommendation. There's construction work going on next door, but the sound proofing in the room is pretty good. We hardly noticed it. Furthermore, it ends @6:30pm and most days we were out so we were not affected at all.
Turn left from the hotel entrance you'll find restaurants and pubs. You can also book your travel packages there, even taxi to town or airport. Prices are better too and they stay open later. I was a little disappointed with the receptionist when we return to the hotel @5:30pm to book the famous Simon cabaret show but was told that their travel office is closed. She didn't even offer another alternative. Luckily the travel agency next door is open and their prices were much better than the hotel or even in town. We booked our taxi to the airport with them as well.
One thing i have to say is that the hotel phone nr cannot be reached. I tried several times using a public phone but failed. There was even a kind local girl who used her hp to call the hotel but failed as well. No hunting line maybe?
Turn right from the hotel entrance is a shopping bazaar. Pretty convenient and enjoyable because the salespersons are very friendly. Got a few items at bargain prices, even cheaper than Karon/Patong town. It is also a walking distance to Karon town, which is nice. All along the way to town, you can find good eating places.
If you want a relaxing time and a beach all to yourself, then this is the place to stay. Otherwise, Patong beach will be more happening.

| "We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Karon Princess Hotel, the service was A1 from check in to check out. I was travelling with my elderly mother and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Breakfast buffet was great, there was plenty of variety starting with some asian type dishes (rice noodles etc.) 2 types of cereal each day toast with various toppings available,4 different fresh fruits and fruit salad, salad, alternating from day to day there were small pancakes, french toast banana & pineaple fritters, best of all you could have an omelete made to order or eggs cooked how you wanted. Of course there was juice water milk tea and coffee. On a fine morning this can all be eaten outside with a view of the beach which is directly opposite. The location is excellent as well as being directly across the road from beautiful Karon beach walk out of the front of hotel and turn left and about 100metres up there is a small street with several restaurants, places to have massage a couple of shops and a minimart. 2 restaurants highly recommended were karlsons steak house and Gings which sells mostly Thai food. Then turn right at hotel front and walk past 2 hotels and a vacant lot and there is a small market selling mostly clothing souvenirs etc, walk another 10 mins or so and come to main part of Karon. There is also a taxi stand right out front.
The pool areas were lovely with drinks available at pool bar.
Our room a superior semi seaview was spacious and clean, the only problem was that the shower was over the bathtub and was difficult for my mother. The only other complaint would be that the internet service was down for 8 of the 9 days we were there and had to go to the hotel next door to email home. All in all we loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again if we return to Phuket. Thanks again to the staff who were always there to help with a friendly smile." |

| "I stayed at the Karon Princess twice in August 2008, first for 4 nights, then for 7 more nights at the end of August and early September. The first stay was perfect. The room was large, clean, sunny, and quiet.
The breakfast buffet is quite adequate, though not too varied. I was quite pleased by it. The restaurant has a great ocean view. My second stay I was put in a mountain view room. The room itself was as nice as the garden view room. The only problem was that there is construction going on at the hotel next to the Karon Princess near the back (mountain view) rooms.
Every morning at 8:00 the construction noise began and it was impossible to sleep once it began. The noise went on until sunset, so it wasn't relaxing in the room. If you are planning to stay at this hotel for the remainder of 2008 and you are given a mountain view room, you will likely have to face this problem. The rooms closer to the beach were quiet. The only other problem was that reception of the English language movie channels HBO and Star Movies was poor, with frequent pauses, so it was impossible to watch them. The other stations all had good reception. For the price during low season, this was an excellent value and I would certainly stay here again. I really liked the location just across the road from Karon beach. The pool was quite nice. The staff was friendly. And even the construction noise was not such a big problem because there isn't much reason to stay awake after midnight in Karon. " |

| "Karon Princess is located on Karon Beach. Karon beach waves are quite hugh during September. So the red flag was hosted most of the time. Closest shopping malls are Central Festival and Big C. Just hope on to the bus (lorry converted) for 30 baht per person to get there. Takes about 45 mins and the bus only operates during the day till 6pm. After that you have to take the taxi or tuk tuk which is around 500 baht. Transport is not cheap. Thus, if you are into shopping, it might be better to stay in Patong Beach. Hotel service was good. | "My stay at Karon Princess Hotel was fantastic. The room is spacious and clean. But our room was quite far away from the reception area (we stayed at the Deluxe Sea View Room)and it was very quiet at night when we walked back to our room. Overall, I will still strongly recommend tourist to stay in this hotel if they choose to stay at Karon beach. " |

| "We chose a sea-view room which was adequate to accommodate 3 single beds comfortably. Having an electric air-pot to have tea/coffee was a bonus. Perhaps closing the pool at 6pm is a tad too early. The location is directly across from beach but no action of an evening. Local markets were 3rd rate.
