| "Checked-in & was suprised to get upgraded to deluxe room for free. Staying one day so didn't have time to use the pool. Room was big & clean. Need climb many stairs to get to the room if you don't mind. Overall a worthy stay if you like the quietness of karon beach." |

| "Spent 4 days at the Karona Resort n loved it..wonderful location jus at the end of Karon beach, right outside is Kata town n Kata beach is a stone's throw away..both beaches are lovely but there're big waves at this time of the yr..nevertheless we had fun 'breaking' the waves! Upgraded FOC to a honeymoon deluxe which the oni difference was tt the bathtub was out in the rm w a view..appreciated the nice touch..breakfast however, was mediocre..rented a bike n scooted to Patong (20min) for seafood n shopping on both days..Patong was real crowded which we din reali like..so was glad we stayed at Karon..one note to tourists who intend to rent a bike: pls bring ur license along cos we were stopped by traffic police on our way back to karon n got fined 300baht for not having! Wonderful trip tho..whole stretch of massage joints at the back of the stadium n no lack of food! Just be prepared for stairs climbing.. ;)" |

| "The service staffs were polite and helpful, the room and beds were pretty comfortable. Very nice environment as the resort has a lot of greeneries around it. I felt very at ease, a nice getaway from a cosmopolitan life, and most importantly it was at affordable and reasonable price." |

| "Hotel Resort had a nice sized room for the standard room - no view, but not really an issue when you're out and about during the day. Room had both a fan and air conditioning. The shower had decent pressure, but it did take a while for the hot water to come on (it is noted in the Hotel welcome notes)
Included breakfast was very good, as was the service at Reception. They had free towel hire, as long as they are returned by the end of the day. Complimentary water was also provided daily.
Less than 5 mins walk to the beach, and 5 mins to Karon Town. There is a taxi stand just down the road. It is quite far from Phuket Airport - I would recommend prebooking your transfer before arrival, as it was 650BHT by Taxi, 380BHT (2 pax) by MiniBus, but we had to wait quite a long time for the bus to fill up for the driver to make the trip.

| "Getting from the lobby to our room daily was a 10min walk up a flight of steps on a slope and then a three storey climb but despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed the workout it gave us and also, how it gave us a chance to enjoy taking a stroll - something we hardly do in Singapore (where we are from).
For that price, we expected much less and were nicely surprised with a great view from our room. Also, we were upgraded FOC to the Honeymoon suite which had little touches to add a bit more something to our stay.
The staff were very pleasant and remembered us by our face which we found a very nice touch. Breakfast was a bit disappointing and the eggs weren't very well done at all. On our departure day, due to an early flight, we had to miss breakfast, and the concierge had prepared a breakfast set for us which was very sweet even though we didn't finish it.
All in all, it was a good stay and nice to have some peace away from busy Patong. Would recommend this to all folks who like a trip full of serenity and quiet and don't quite like mingling with busloads of tourists. Also helps if you'd rather stay alongside non-English speaking tourists too." |

| "My wife and I stayed here for 6 days in October and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is right on the edge of Karon beach and at the start of Kata beach so you have the best of both worlds. It's about a 15 minute walk into Karon, where the nighlife is better than Kata, although if you really want good nightlife you'll have to get a taxi into Patong, which cost about £8.00 one way, very expensive by Thai standards. If you fancy a game of crazy golf, make sure you go to Dino Golf in Kata, it's the best crazy golf in the world!!
We had read a lot of reports beforehand, stating that the hotel was looking very 'tired', but I can honestly say that we had no problem with the place at all. We are reasonably well travelled and wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel." |

| "We had 13 nights at the hotel late September to mid October 2007. The hotel is good value for money, certainly outside of high season. The staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is very convenient for Karon beach and for the north end of Katta village. It is on higher ground and offers considerable protection in the event of a Tsunami. Those with a mobility problem should request a room with easy access from the lobby / restaurant area because the steps around the south side of the swimming pool are of uneven spacing and height and very badly lit in some places, to the point of being dangerous. There are no lifts to the higher floors." |

| "I've stayed here twice - initially in Feb 2004 and it was fabulous. Great room, excellent bar with happy hour and beautiful cocktails, multi-level pool with lots of sunlounges. Breakfast was consistently great with lots of choices and really good quality food. We couldn't fault a thing. It was really busy at this time and the Kata shops, which the resort is just a minute or so walk away from, were always busy with other tourists out and about.
Went back in June 2007. Still good value but that particular week there was a lot of maintenance work going on. The room they put us in was a wing undergoing renovations - ie. painting, sanding, freshening up. Our room was yet to be done so looked a bit tired but seemed to be next on the list. Unfortunately there was no hot water in our room the first night/morning. This was either an issue with that wing being under renovation or a problem with the water having to run for ages to warm up at all (as in, run for at least 10 minutes). Whatever it was, it was fixed once we raised it with reception.
The bottom pool had been totally drained as it was being retiled, it did make it look a shabby but from past experience at the resort, I know it looks really pretty when both pools are filled, the sun is shining and everything is in order. Breakfast was still good but limited choices due to the lack of guests. Fantastic omlettes and pastries though! There was a lot of work going on about the place, I noticed a lot of the sunlounges were broken and piled up in the pool bar (which did not open once in our 3 night stay) but were being repaired and laquered when we were leaving. I'm quite confident the resort had become somewhat run down over the last couple of years (compared to our last visit) but it seems efforts were definitely being made to bring it up to scratch. The resort had very few people there when we stayed this time, so it was probably a good time to get all this maintenance work done, before the busy season. The restaurant staff were particularly nice.
The location is good, if you like being near Kata. I would recommend it if you are staying in Jan - March, because Kata is great when it's peak season and people are out and about and the restaurants and bars are full. Unfortunately, when we were there in June, Kata was dead - so much so that at times we were the only tourists whatsoever walking down the street. It was a ghost town. Which meant there was a lot of 'please come into my shop/restaurant/tuk tuk' etc. We ended up going to Patong every day, as it was busy and had more atmosphere. However, I loved Kata in peak season and would stay there again. The beach is beautiful in peak season too and right across from the resort. (It's very rough in June though so we didn't set foot on it).
All in all, this was a great resort in 2004 and will probably be very nice again soon, and excellent value too.
