"Such a beautiful resort! Our room was fantastic, and we felt like royalty with the freindly service each day. Breakfasts were yummy, and the pools and surroundings of the hotel were great too! Could not fault this resort, other than it was a little too far from the centre of Kata... but maybe that was us just being too lazy to walk too far! A fantastic stay overall and would reccomend this to everyone!"

"My stay here was fantastic, the room was large and overlooked the large pool area. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had variety of foods There was construction going on but we didn't hear any of the noise. My partner and I will definately stay again. The front desk staff especially Tong really made our stay special! "

"We had a wonderful time on our holiday to Kata Palm Resort. It is a beautiful resort, and a super friendly staff. Our ten month old LOVED playing in the pools, and it was a short walk to the beach which was great. "

"Stayed in a pool access room for 6 nights in May 2008. As I arrived in the morning, I was pleased that they allowed me to check in early. The staffs are generally friendly, one or two stand out among them and will start a friendly conversation with you when there's an opportunity. Room was nicely decorated with flowers and petals as I have indicated that I was on honeymoon. There's 2 swimming pools in this resort. The pool that our room has direct access to is not very big, it's simply goes one round surrounding all the pool access rooms. A short walk will lead you to another pool which is more ideal for swimming laps and the children's pool. All the fountains (decorations) around the pools were not turned on during my stay, I guess it's because this period was low season. And, the pool closes at 7pm! That's way too early in my opinion. Housekeeping services was good, except a few days they gave me one less towel. I am puzzled why since it should be a standard practice that they give 2 towels per room each time. They also provide simple toiletries like cotton buds, but they never replenishes them. Generally, the room is clean. However, at the steps to the pool, once I saw a millipede 'resting' at the side near the water and another time I saw a snail. I also saw a creature which looked like a monitor lizard amongst the plants beside the pool. None of these are the resort's fault I guess. One major problem was the mosquitoes, there were tons of them in the room. Although the rooms provide a electrical mosquito repellent device, it's better if your bring your own mosquito repellent lotion along. The breakfast spread is almost the same everyday, with only some changes to the local food in the buffet spread. Nothing to brag about, but in my opinion it's satisfactory. Location of the resort is not bad considering Kata Beach front is mainly blocked by Kata Beach Resort and Club Med. Takes about 5-10mins to walk to the beach. There are convenient stores nearby to cater to your daily needs. Food and shopping is pretty limited as compare to Patong and on average everything is slightly more expensive than in Patong. My next trip to Phuket, I will most likely stay in Patong but if I am returning to Kata, I would definately consider staying at Kata Palm Resort again. "

" At the overall, this Hotel is OK ( a Thai style room with a reasonable price),but i think that there should be pay attention on following two points. 1)The receiption's skill on communication with customers should be improved and 2)Especially, the working manner of waiter & waitress should be trained more and more in further . "

"We just returned from Kata Palm. Being on the shoulder of Low Season it was fairly quiet, which suited us. We stayed in a Pool Access room, and are glad we did. For the small amount extra you pay for it, it is well worth it. It's hard to fault anything with the Resort, despite contruction going on next door. The smaller pool probably was not as clean as the main pool, but was cooler in temperature which made it quite refreshing. Two smim up bars, daily happy hour was great. Staff are nice and friendly, all requests were dealt with promptly. Tour desk the same. Free 20min internet access was handy. Breakfast was good with a fairly extensive range, Bacon a bit crispy for my liking but that is the norm in Thailand. The Friday night Smorgasboard is a must-do, the Thai dancers and dancing makes it a great night. All in all a very memorable experience and would strongly recommend to family groups and couples."

"My partner and I stayed in a deluxe poolview room on the ground level, we found the service to be wonderful, the staff spoke great english, the pool was really nice and we loved the swim up bar. Buffet breakfast was good, we made sure to get there early beacuse of other reviews but we were happy. The room was large and clean, the bathroom was clean but could have used a bit of a makeover. Kata beach was nice, however, the resort is not as close to the beach as we would have hoped, it was about a 10min walk. Very happy overall"

"This hotel was a serious disappointment. The pool is the only saving grace. Breakfast is bad. The front desk staff have a poor atittude. There are a LOT of mosquitoes and not a lot was done about their presence in the room despite us having a 14 month old baby with us. There are some interesting (and large) spiders in the bathroom. The location is fine but there is no way we would ever stay here again. Very very disappointing as the website makes it look good but it is not. "

"Lovely surroundings inside the hotel. Some construction noise during the day from the construction next door. The pool is beautiful and clean. Breakfast buffet has a large selection but few healthy items. The rooms are beatifully decorated with hand-carved ornaments. Staff is friendly. Front desk staff has very limited English and thus not very helpful. The tours they offer and their spa is very expensive. You can get much better deals just a couple of blocks away. There are excellent snorkeling and diving spots right off Kata Beach that staff dont know about. They offer you pricey boat trips for those purposes. Overall an excellent value. I would definitely return."

"I thought the design of the pool was great. However, the water could have been a lot cleaner. The room was very nice - large and attractive. I wasn't impressed with the food at all. "
