| "I stayed for one night at this hotel as my last stop in Phuket before going back home. I regretted booking this hotel for only one night because I absoloutely loved it! The hotel is just a stone's throw away from Surin Beach, which is really pristine and different from the more commercialized beaches in Phuket. I will definitely choose Manathai again if I were to go to Phuket anytime soon!
However be warned that there is almost nothing to do at night as there is only a small stretch of restaurants." |

| "Manathai Hotel Phuket is exceptional value for money. A hidden gem! Great location to a beautiful beach just across the road. If you're after a very chilled week or two away...Surin Beach and the Manathai Hotel is the right combination for you. The staff are beautiful, friendly and accommodating and the facilities at the hotel are perfect. Will definitely return." |

| "My review may be slightly biased as I was informed upon arrival that I had been upgrated to one of Manathai's two storey suites in their new wing. However, even with this in mind, I felt that the hotel presented amazing value for money. Having visited the neighbouring big name hotels, I felt that the Manathai compared extremely well, particularly for those who are looking for an intimate boutique experience. The decor was warm and interesting with lots of little details to catch the eye. The suite in the new wing was beautiful, with two flat screen tvs, dvd player, an outdoor terrace and an extremely comfortable bed. The only thing missing was a bath in the bathroom althought this was somewhat compensated by the rainshower head. The free internet access and fantastic breakfast buffet completed the very generous package. I found the staff to be extremely obliging and always friendly. Given a choice, I would choose the Manathai over any of the other larger hotels in the area." |

| "The Manathai's decor is modern Thai and has been well designed. The pool areas are great and the rooms are very nice, however they are extremely dark at night as there is little lighting.
The food is good and breakfast was of a good standard compared to a lot of Asian hotels I have stayed at.
In terms of value for money this is a great hotel. If they could get the housekeeping and staff issues right, it would be a truly excellent hotel.
Housekeeping was extremely slow and irregular. One day we came back to the room around 6pm and the room still hadn't been serviced. Another day they serviced the room and took all the towels, but didn't replace them!
When you ask the staff for something they are extremely obliging, however there is no proactivity with the staff anticipating what is needed.
We had booked a pool suite, and when they took us to the room it obviously wasn't the room we had booked (3rd floor, no pool!) As soon as I called Asia Rooms, we were moved to the correct room. This is our 3rd visit to Phuket, and this is the 3rd time we have been given a cheaper room than what we paid for. My advice is dig in your heels and sit in reception until they give you the right room. They seem to miraculously get the room available when you do this.
One last issue was the smell of sewerage was at times quite strong throughout the hotel and particularly in our bathroom. This seems to be a problem across a lot of Phuket, but I've never had it in my room before. After mentioning this to the hotel, they did get someone to visit our room immediately. The solution was to put an oil burner over the drains. Surprisingly it did the trick!
This is a beautiful hotel suffering from a few management issues, but when you weigh up the cost against these issues, it's still good value." |

| "We went there beginning of November from Singapore for a long WE. This is a charming boutique hotel (layout, furnitures, ...) with a pleasant staff. The negative points being that the hotel is 200m from the sea with an access which does not look good. Also for kids, babysitting prices are way too expensive for Thailand." |

| "Having worked and stayed in several top resorts in Asia overall our stay was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We found it very good value for money and the staff were very obliging, on our last day we went on a full day tour and on our return they even allowed us the use of a room to shower and pack our things before our flight even though it was well after check out time. Superior rooms are way too tiny, pay the little bit extra for the deluxe room. Other negative thing was they only had 1 key for two of us...." |

| "We had a good 2 nights stay at Manathai, the service was excellent. The air-con in our first room broke down, fortunately the management was kind enough to move us to another room with equal facilities. The staff was very friendly, the beach was a tranquil place for couples seeking private holiday get aways. Superb! Sunset was the best view we got when we were at surin beach. The consideration is just the location which is quite far from the city and the entertainment life in phuket. Better prepare extra expense on tuk tuk or taxis! However, staying at Manathai was worth all the values. " |
