| "Thought that the hotel was stunning as was the scenery around Rawai beach which is where the hotel is situated. Although the room didn't have 100% privacy (in a stand alone suite/chalet) it wasn't a problem. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom/hot tub were superb.
We went in the off-season in late May-early June and the prices were very good. Being the low season the isalnd itself was quite quiet which was perfect for our first anniversary.
Hotel taxis were quite expensive and a trip to the airport was aroun 1200 Baht. A normal taxi is 800 or so baht. Still quite expensive for Thailand. Also, at night in the off-season its not as easy to get taxis.
Phuket is lovely, as is this hotel, and having been to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Koh Samui, Phuket has made me want to return to Thailand." |

| "We enjoyed our stay at the Mangosteen very much indeed. The site is beautifully laid out, with a lovely swimming pool and extensive gardens. We loved our villa too, with the exception of one thing...the bathroom. Oh dear, who designed a toilet/washroom without any place to hang towels (not even hooks at the back of the door)? We had to use the door handle, which is pretty ridiculous for a 5-star boutique hotel. The sink too was terrible; it was cracked and badly repaired. But otherwise we loved everything. We had great meals at the restaurant and enjoyed being pampered and massaged in the on-site "spa". All in all, we had a super holiday and can recommend the Mangosteen." |

| "I have stayed 2 nights with my boyfriend in the Garden Villa. We are surprised to have a Jacuzzi bath when we didn't book for one. The room is well-equipped and exposed to nature. We had a relaxing and wonderful time there. Staff are helpful in doing pest control when we said there are mosquitos around. Only the location of the hotel is on a hill which is a bit far from attractions or restaurants but it's fine for us as we look for a hideaway stay. I wish I could be back again!" |

| "This resort is perfect. Just what I've been looking for.. Peaceful surroundings, good view as it's located on a hill. Staffs are superb as well. The jaccuzi villa which we stayed has a huge room, very clean.
Highly recommended for couples who just want to laze and relax in the quieter side of Phuket." |

| "I have not one bad thing to say about this hotel. I spent 5 nights there on my honeymoon and the only regret i have is that i didnt stay longer. The staff are so nice and couldnt be more helpfull in anything they were asked. The pool is the best part of hotel.I have been to alot of hotels with lovely pools and the mangosteen pool is def the classiest of them all.24 hour pool is very rare and it is massive.I had my hair cut in the spa and my wife had manicure, pedicure and hair spa treatment and we both agreed that the lady's working there were very professional. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I could go on all day but im not or you will prob think i work for the mangosteen.i will just leave saying im goin back for two weeks when our wedding is paid for. " |

| "The resort and room looked exactly like the pictures on the web - beautiful! We stayed in the royal jacuzzi villa for 5 nights. The service from reception, housekeeping and the restaurant was faultless. Food was very, very good. The personal touches (fresh fruit platter daily and wine tasting) where nice.
I would recommend this for honeymooners and romantics as there didn't seem to be many kids activities and there'd probably be too many stairs for seniors. The TV was a bit small for the room and reception wasn't great, so if you like to watch TV while you're on holidays, give this one a miss. We couldn't get broadband access from our room either. Didn't try the spa as the prices seemed quite high compared to day spas in the area.
Worth noting that this resort is not near the beach (free shuttle is provided) and shops, restaurants and transport are not close by either. It would be worth finding a driver when you arrive at the airport as the resort transport can become quite expensive.
Having said that, the south of Phuket is a lovely area (a little less busy than the Patong area) and is worth a visit." |
