Would I stay at this location

Absolutely!
The Mangosteen Resort is hands down one of the best hotels in Phuket. It's expensive, but well worth every penny. It's located on a secluded hilltop away from the busy overpopulated beach areas. I watched the sunrise from my room which great. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are incredible. The jacuzzi villas are amazing with an outdoor shower and jacuzzi. The service was outstanding. They arranged local tours, gave good advice on shopping and other areas of interest. Arranged a free ride to a local restaurant instead of calling a taxi. The pool area is great and very relaxing. The hotels restaurant is great and the breakfast buffet is amazing. The spa is probably one of the best in Phuket as well. A great place for a romantic getaway.

"Thought that the hotel was stunning as was the scenery around Rawai beach which is where the hotel is situated. Although the room didn't have 100% privacy (in a stand alone suite/chalet) it wasn't a problem. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom/hot tub were superb. We went in the off-season in late May-early June and the prices were very good. Being the low season the isalnd itself was quite quiet which was perfect for our first anniversary. Hotel taxis were quite expensive and a trip to the airport was aroun 1200 Baht. A normal taxi is 800 or so baht. Still quite expensive for Thailand. Also, at night in the off-season its not as easy to get taxis. Phuket is lovely, as is this hotel, and having been to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Koh Samui, Phuket has made me want to return to Thailand."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Mangosteen very much indeed. The site is beautifully laid out, with a lovely swimming pool and extensive gardens. We loved our villa too, with the exception of one thing...the bathroom. Oh dear, who designed a toilet/washroom without any place to hang towels (not even hooks at the back of the door)? We had to use the door handle, which is pretty ridiculous for a 5-star boutique hotel. The sink too was terrible; it was cracked and badly repaired. But otherwise we loved everything. We had great meals at the restaurant and enjoyed being pampered and massaged in the on-site "spa". All in all, we had a super holiday and can recommend the Mangosteen."

"I have stayed 2 nights with my boyfriend in the Garden Villa. We are surprised to have a Jacuzzi bath when we didn't book for one. The room is well-equipped and exposed to nature. We had a relaxing and wonderful time there. Staff are helpful in doing pest control when we said there are mosquitos around. Only the location of the hotel is on a hill which is a bit far from attractions or restaurants but it's fine for us as we look for a hideaway stay. I wish I could be back again!"
